No thanks! Delighted that all this bad weather is yet to materialise. Looking out at the quays here and it's still calm and clear out, same as it has been all day.

Supposedly going to change in the next couple of hours but I'm hoping that falls by the wayside too.

Yeah, I'm not far from you here and the sky looks ridiculously clear. Pints later might be a chilly affair, but I guess I'll just have to man up and do it for the cause!

Pretty sleety now on the way to training in Clontarf. Feckin cold too.

I'm in Sofia and lost my coat. Walking to the office in the snow in a jumper is madness, they think it's an Irish thing, it's actually a forgetful coat loser thing.

    Act like you're mad anyway.

    Yeah...

What's that smell? Oh it's just the ham with brown sugar, mustard and honey that's roasting in the oven behind me.

What's that noise? Oh it's just the fire crackling in the living room...

    open-fire.jpg

Enjoy running around in that .ak!!

Opportunity missed, I'd have got Jerry Collins to do it.

(Sorry, that actually might have been a tad disrespectful, I'd say it wasn't too pleasant)

    Rap is rubbish.

Rap is ok imo. Not the best, not the worst. The worst is this newbreed country and irish stuff by a long shot.

I haven't put a PC together since my teens. I'm finally making money for the first time in ... forever. My budget is 2k or so :D A far cry from the second hand parts I used to use

I'd love to put together my own gaming machine but the cash just isn't allowing for it at the moment. I'm not even too mad on some of the newer games but I want to go back and play stuff like Age of Empires 2 and Rome: Total War.

I still haven't a ****ing clue which motherboard to go for though

I got a republic of gaming one, asus I think. Built an absolute MONSTER rig two or so months ago with one of the 980 nVidia cards. Was around 2000 despite having a good few components to begin with.

I also got this NZXT case and I love it, brilliant cable management and it's a little more compact than the thermaltake tower I had before.

The only problem is I've feck all time to actually play anything on it, the misses mostly uses it for Netflix.

Ive turned into a boring old console head.

The trouble with buying a rig is whilst it may be cheaper you get into a vicious circle of upgrading it every oppertunity

Games keep putting up the min spec and you keep pouring money into it.

Not if you go the nuclear option when you build it first. There is no way I'm upgrading for at least 4 - 5 years and I doubt I'll have to.

I justify the initial spent on the fact that I mostly only buy games during the steam sale windows. I have a pretty big back catalogue so haven't bought a new game in ages.

I just play Xbox now for games cause I got fed up with PC. Only PC games I play are the likes of Football Manager.

Yeah, I'm the same. I love tinkering with my PC but simply can't afford to do so anymore.

Think my gfx card is a 9800pro or something like that....How old is that?

EDIT: Just remembered that the gfx card is a 512Mb 8800GT

My last build was 5 years ago and it's still going strong. Granted, I don't do much gaming anymore. I just had Ankermann build mine. No faffing about.

I can't go back to console gaming anymore. Why drink alcohol when you can have some lovely heroine :pac:

I expect to be investing in the Razer Forge TV and its peripherals when it launches (Q1 2015). Steam games on the TV. Mouse and Keyboard on the sofa. GRAND.
