Lan plugs use your electrical mains to transfer your connection, as thus your connection speeds will differ on the layout of your mains as compared to your friends, expecting the exact same result is reaching, this will depend on the mains length and size of house/reach. This is the same with wi-fi extenders that attempt to rebuild wi-fi radio waves but can't rebuild everything and you also get staggering results depending on walls and interference.

Do they work for people whom don't know left from right or have their head on the wrong way round.

they're crap, i got same and they fell apart, you and alan wouldn't know your left arm from your right lol

You can use most hands free kits on it and use them, sure they aren't ideal but that's what i use, i got a hands-free headset with my galaxy S5 and that's what i use and have you heard me fine on mic?

the only reason they fell apart ya plonker is because you put your arse on top of them (hence why u talk through ur hole :P),Ear buds ffs man so ps1 :P
but thats the good thing about the ps4 they`d take most ear/head phones unlike other "next gen" console that we wont metion

You'll just need a basic Cat6 Ethernet cable, well 2 to be exact. Can find them dirt cheap online
