The whole Cotton family are so irritating.

Nick is probably the most unlikable soap character on tv right now imo.

Yeah and its not a "love to hate him" kind of thing, people just don't like him or the storyline, well myself and most people i know anyway
I hate charlie's mam too, forgot her name, just that whole family storyline is boring and pointless

I think Aleks wife left and the daughter stayed with him

I thought I saw his daughter and Amy in the last row at Ronny and Charlie's wedding but I'm not sure

i completely disagree, Nick Cotton (and Dot) is an iconic character, will always be panto stuff for most part but they use him well and have kept his character one of the most consistent characters in soap for 30 odd years. i hope he gets a fitting ending, all set up for a killing on live show anniversary. this story, up until last week, has been bad for him and their failure to go into detail as to who he was so scared of that he faked his own death was a bit of an insult to viewers.

Yeah they're stretching nick and Mrs. Doyle's acting skills way beyond their limits with a very flimsy plot.

I love that you guys call her Mrs Doyle given how much Pauline McLynn apparently detests her association with her Mrs Doyle character :D

Nah I think they've completely ruined his character with this plot. Up til now I would've agreed with you but now its not even pantomime stuff, it's boring and doesn't add anything to the show imo.

She will always be Mrs. Doyle, even when she was getting jiggy with Frank Gallagher in Shameless :p

really? i think the cutting of the brakes and the covering up and re-opening of Nick v Phil feud is classic Nick Cotton stuff. Yes its pantomine but as I said, thats his role. I already stated that up until last week, his re-entrance was pointless to watch. but i am looking forward to next few weeks up to what i am convinced will be his death.

Do you think he will be unveiled as Lucy's killer?

Yeah, I don't even think its pantomime stuff anymore, its just boring. The brakes stuff just frustrated me but could be down to the fact that it meant more screen time for that family and i dislike them :pac: well apart from dot

I don't mind Nick and Dot, their scenes even panto ish are entertaining, I even found Nick's scenes with Ronnie fun to watch as they have chemistry but Mrs. Doyle is the odd one out to me

I think Charlie has more chemistry with Roxy than Ronnie too

How many know Nick is alive, seems like half the square

Abi was looking very worried in last night's episode when Lauren said Emma's phone was still in her bag, obviously if she was the murderer the evidence would be on Emma's phone, but that could have been a red herring too of course, abi is possibly being made a bit too obvious now as a suspect.

I noticed this too but the more they are doing this kind of thing with Abi,the less likely it is that she's the killer. Lorna Fitzgerald is far too obvious in her acting also,I think the ones to look out for are the really subtle ones. Did anyone else clock the quick look between Jay & Lola when Ritchie told them all that Emma was dead? Lola hadn't really featured much lately up to then & hasn't since either!

I know most people on this thread disagree with me but I'm really feeling that she's the killer.

on the BBC site there is a page of all the evidence and the police interviews Abi's one is very suspicions

Wasn't Lola ruled out on Phils wedding day as she was with Billy walking to the reception when Emma was talking to the killer

I really wish they have just left Nick where he was, I think its ridiculous, the whole storyline! The most unbelievable villiain ever to grace Albert Square!!
