Surely the charge would be manslaughter for Phil concerning Emma?

I'm hoping Nick will kill her soon

I say it was Nick that did it not Phil even though he probably had a motive. Yvonne is covering for Nick sure we saw the evidence at Dots house with the brake fluid on the cloth. Phil been set up by Nick.

Ugh I hate these kind of stories, everyone on the square suddenly becomes a sanctimonious tosser. Who the fck is Kat Slater to be judging other people? Nearly everyone on the Square has been arrested for something they didn't do before, stop immediately judging people!

Nick and Mrs Doyle make my stomach turn, I hope they leave or get killed off soon.

normal enough reaction to hearing someone has been arrested for attempted murder and killing a third party by their actions!! i know he didnt do it but i think its realistic for the majority of people to ignore the innocent until proven guilty legal mantra

There's a thing doing the rounds on twitter tonight saying Abi's name was bigger than everyone else's in the credits tonight so it must have been her that killed Lucy :)

I think by the time Linda gets back everybody aside from St. Mick will be on Dean's side

it's probably some kind of "thing" the writers threw in just so Linda can shout "get out of my pub"

    Why 8.30?

Its not normally shown on a Wednesday so that was probably the only slot available tonight.

Abi was looking very worried in last night's episode when Lauren said Emma's phone was still in her bag, obviously if she was the murderer the evidence would be on Emma's phone, but that could have been a red herring too of course, abi is possibly being made a bit too obvious now as a suspect.

this concerned, guilty look has been practiced by all and sundry over past 8 months.... i have learned to just disregard it at this stage. But it does annoy me that at the reveal stage we will be looking back at all these "guilty look" scenes on reflection for the majority of the innocent suspects and they will just have been thrown in pointlessly to throw people off scent or misguidingly make others guilty looking

I'm hoping that the flash back episode will reveal why so many of them were acting dodgy and giving these weird looks to everyone. They have a chance to tie everything up nicely now and it could end up being a very clever year of writing or they could mess it all up and make it obvious that they had no real plan and only decided about a week ago who did it.

will be a mixture i am assuming of both but will definitely lean towards disappointing loose ends

Yeah the whole thing could spectacularly backfire on them if there are any loose ends or inconsistencies because people have been micro -analysing past episodes now, and if there are holes in the plot the big reveal could be a big PR disaster.

If they genuinely had it plotted out from the start then they should be able to tie everything up. Unless of course they were going to have it be Lauren and then her real life pregnancy got in the way meaning they had to change the culprit and then things may not actually add up. That could explain the very random resolution to the video of Lauren at the Beales plot. I mean it was built up as something important and then in one scene it's explained away by Jane. Odd?
