Well if they dont need to be onscreen its Lauren or Peter. We know the 2 of them are going. But i still think its Abi.It just seems to fit somehow.

I'm not saying they won't be on screen, I'm just saying the reveal doesn't necessarily mean that they have to be there for the live episodes. Lauren will be back, as far as I know, but Peter is leaving for good whenever he leaves. I still don't think it's either of them though. I'd assume their exits will be connected to it though.

I just hope it makes sense. I'd prefer it to be one of the obvious suspects than have it be shocking and not really make any sense.
I agree. And when you consider how long this storyline has been going on there still is very few strong motives for anyone to kill Lucy. Hopefully they dripfeed more info in the coming weeks. I actually forgot to put money on Abi earlier, the odds have shortened even more now I think I'll leave it for a while, if it is her the writers will really work on making others more suspect before it.

Considering theres 6 weeks before the reveal surely theres a few twists yet...:p

On another note did anyone think Emmas death was really lowkey?? Nobody really batted an eyelid, I mean they could have had Roxy at least mention it considering she pretty much killed her with the car.....

roxy wouldnt have known about it. they did discuss it in the pub. and at the brannings. its silly that the mitchell/cottons werent informed though whilst in the hospital. Max v Phil v Nick/yvonne v Charlie/ronnie/roxie should be interesting

The more I think about it,the more I think it's Billy. It would make sense coz if you think back,he argued with her that night about stealing fish from the chippie (which he didn't admit until caught out),she had shafted him with her business, pictures of her were found in his flat & traces of her blood were found in Tina's flat which he had been breaking into to steal their electricity. But it would also be shocking coz all that was so long ago that people have forgotten about it & as he wasn't one of the texted suspects or the one who met Emma in the park (he was at the wedding) ,no-one would be expecting it!!

I think either Peter or Jay know about it & it was one of them in the park.

It would be a more plausible outcome than Abi anyway imo. Don't know where Max fits in,unless he thinks it's Abi & has been trying to cover her.

After the big reveal what storylines are next? It'll be hard to top this storyline anyway.

Not necessarily. This is my point. They just weren't the recipient of the "I can't keep the secret" text but that could equally have been sent to someone who knows & asked Emma not to turn them in for whatever reason. Note she didn't say "your secret" which is odd in itself....

I think the producers said though that the New Year episode would narrow down the suspect list to whatever amount it was standing outside the cafe.

Oops, I clicked on it earlier to reply but got distracted and then forgot. It came up when I quoted the one I wanted to reply to.

I'm sticking with my theory for now anyway. I'm probably wrong, usually am about these things but still! Plus I think it would be far better tv than if it just turned out to be Abi or Lauren or Peter or whoever so I hope it is true! ;-)

Incidentally,at the time of the "Who killed Archie?" reveal five years ago,Ben was favourite at 5/2,followed by Sean Slater at 7/2 and a whole host of others (Jack,Ian,Ronnie,Roxy,Peggy,Glenda,Ryan,Joel,Becca,Bradley,Jean etc).
Stacey was way down the list at 20/1.

Did Charlie and Ronnie know the sex of the baby beforehand and if not how did Mrs. Doyle-Cotton know she had a grandson??

Billy and Lola were seen coming out of their house when the stupid cop was meeting the killer in the park so that ruled them out.

but the point is we dont know she met the killer, she might have met an accomplice or someone who's helping them cover, so the person who got the text might not have actually killed Lucy

Why did it click with her in the pub when Denise and kim hurried out? She followed them out, looked at Patrick's house, looked at beales and then back at Patrick's.

I hope when the time comes we get some insight into the actual trial. It was unexpectedly interesting to watch Peter on trial on Corrie, would really enjoy seeing something similar for Lucy's killer.

Something was missing from the night Lucy was killed I think.
