    I was a water bottle refill assistant at the Southernmost MTB race in Africa - the participants literally rode on the beach around Cape Agulhas - the Southern tip of Africa. (Flat, but very sandy)

    Met a guy on the way up there, his Garmin was reading 3 degrees at the top at about half 11 earlier, so it might have melted a bit by tomorrow. The ice on the wires was falling off as it melted too.

    Not much ice on the way up there though. The studded tyres were useful for the final km only. Snow line was at about 700m asl.
