Is the old thread that's usually brought up around this time happening this year. You know the one where you predict what plans you have for your car and whether your keeping it or not. I wasn't the best at it first year definitely keeping the astra that didn't happen second year definitely keeping the focus that didn't happen maybe third time lucky :)

Ouch, right in the feelings :'(
Only a few. But the exhaust has been done, I'm waiting on a couple more parts before tackling the hub/bearing/brake assembly then she'll be on the road again.

I have to rack up some money and spend it on the 750. NCT expires in two days, so won't drive it until I have the test passed.

When did you get a 750?
Clan't remember that being posted here at all.

I have feeling that the golf will need a few bits and pieces done next year. Although once I get the rear pads done in the next few days that should be pads and discs all round sorted. Then it will need a full service probably February which I think I will just do that myself. Will need two tyres in March I'd say. I want to get the gearbox oil and brake fluid changed too I think ill head to george to get that done. I don't know is brake fluid expensive to get changed ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,830 ✭✭✭✭MuppetCheck

Brake fluid is very cheap in the scheme of things. Think I paid about 50 quid at a main dealer on the VRS.

    Ah ****, what a **** day...

Worked 11h with no breaks. My 5th day in a row and even worse to come for next 3 days. I wake up for work at 4:00 and I'll be lucky to finish tomorrow around 17:00.
So yeah, I am having a **** day. I came to my ex house after work just to see my dog for few minutes at least on friendly face that actually likes me so I can finish this year on a better note and not tired angry one. When i drove up the first thing I sow was a whole side of Mx5 destroyed. Someone just sticked their car to the side of it and completely fecked up the whole side.
So she said that someone just drove in to her. Insurance garage said that it will be at least 2.5k eu to fix that and that they won't bother. Car will be scraped. So here goes another 10th anniversary edition to a scrap yard... Something I loved is going to be destroyed.
The only thing that I expect now is meteor to hit my house and kill me in bed and put me out of my misery :pac:

Ah, come on, new year coming up and all.

2014 was a bittersweet year for me: didn't get into college, had to spend 1000s of euros on a lemon of a car, didn't get a new job as planned BUT I got a V12 car just before the end of the year, have now a lovely girlfriend and met yous lot for the first time since I registered!

    Hopefully 2015 is even better.

Happy new year to all of you, arseholes :pac:

That's sh1t. If it's cosmetic it might make a good project or play thing if bought back cheap.

Well, I'll put it that way: I am surprised the door is even closes... Its not just wing and door that completely fecked, but the whole body too.

At that I will actually agree with insurance, might as well scrap it. :(

Is the car worth over €2500?

I'd call into Forge Hill Motors for a quote, they are near the airport next to Dan Seamans, great great outfit.

Well, my ****, if I will ever help her with anything. In fairness, I was not even talking to her much, was there for the dog. I did not even asked about the car, she said it herself.
I did got pissed off seeing that she now completely destoryed it, but in a way I am happy for little Mazda. It was neglected by her even before we split up. This way little thing wont be suffering anymore! R.I.P. for the car that still sits on top of my list of " most fun cars I owned".
