Chelsea have 4 games in 10/11 days. I'm almost set on doing Costa out, Balotelli in . Costa surely won't play all 4, will get 240 of the 360 mins on offer at max imo. I've just gotten into the top 10k for the first time ever and fancy a good punt for the holidays, and he's definitely due a goal or two.;)

Bringing in Balotelli would be an absolutely crazy decision. There's punts and then there's outright bad transfers. This would fall into the latter category.

just in case you are serious about signing a striker who may actually be injured , has not scored in20 plus league games and averages one or 2 touches in the opposition box a game DO NOT SIGN BALOTELLI
trust me I've been there for one very frustrating week
    don't believe the hype
many many many many better options all cheaper
    take your pick

Having look at fixtures and that, i have had a look at my team - some players need to go - RVP game time uncertain - Costa last chance saloon tomorrow night, so i can get this front 8, however i would have a serious problem as who to drop - what are people's thoughts.

    Sanchez, Yaya, Silva, Sterling, Fab
    Austin, Giroud and Kane.

Edit: just to note - bold are players to get in.

Austin away form is not great so away to Arsenal would be a good week to bench him. That said he did score away to 2 of the best defences of the PL (Southampton & Chelsea).
If Adebayor's fully back Kane's gametime may be limited?

You are most likely correct long term and in general, but liverpool's fixtures are really good (burn, SWA, LEIC, sund) and he is fit and rested and has been known to score goals in the past. Liverpool have looked a whole lot better recently too, albeit against Bournemouth and an injury ravaged/spineless Arsenal midfield.

Against who they only managed a draw with a last minute goal from a defender. Liverpool are poison at the moment, you can't even predict who will score. But it's your game so best of luck with it.

Ok, ok lads, I'm putting this transfer on the back burner and thanks to all. the 1 or 2 touches in the box bit got me, not very encouraging. Wasn't ramping either, genuinely thought he'd be a valid 2/3 gw punt. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Benteke, Giroud, Bony. Lots of better replacements for Costa. Depending on the rest of your team maybe just wait a week and go for Jovetic.

    Giroud. Captain.

Maybe Benteke in for Costa after tonight's game.

I think you have to play Austin as his form is too good at the moment and it's not as if Arsenal are solid at the back. They were awful yesterday and even though QPR have terrible away form I'd still expect them to create a lot of chances.

I'm gonna save my transfer this week and probably bring in Benteke for Costa and Yaya for Eriksen next week. There's going to be a lot of rotation but I think those 2 will play all the games over xmas.

    Agreed re Austin.

My punt on green has not really been successful so I'll probably bring in a goalkeeper instead of the non-playing Myhill.

In six away games, Austin has two goals so his form isn't that bad away. He scored against Saints and Chelsea who are two of the better defences in the league. I won't be benching him.

I agree re Green. It's unfortunate. My team for this week:

    Green
    Terry Taylor Chambers
    Sanchez Hazard Yaya Eriksen
    Bony Austin Costa
    Elliott, Wisdom, Dummett, Marney

I have the 1.6 spare that I need to go Chambers to Zab but I'm wary of spending every penny I have because it leaves me absolutely nothing for future changes. Zab also has West Brom away whereas Chambers has QPR at home. How did Chambers do yesterday? What are his chances of featuring on Stephens Day do people think?

The move that makes most sense for my team IMO is Pantimillion in for Green and I can see myself doing it.

    My team is:

    Heaton Hamer
    Baines Terry Naylor Wisdom Duff
    Hazard Yaya Sanchez Siggy Boyd
    Costa Kane Bony

Any suggestions on transfers? Have 1 FT and 1.2 in the bank. I can do Siggy and Baines to Silva and Clichy/Kolorov/Demichelis. Is Siggy out for long? Happy enough with most of my players, but it would be good to upgrade my keeper as well

He's probably not worth bringing in as part of a hit though......

He's forcing me to consider him, although I am tempted to be stubborn and go for Giroud/Benteke/Jovetic in place of RVP/Costa which will still allow me to upgrade to Silva in midfield.

My transfer plans are all over the place with so many options, and tryin not to knee jerk after a bad week. I've had to use up a FT i could have banked cause of the Kompany injury so am pretty certainly going to need a -4 either this week or next to sort things (and given my Kompany/Zab moves have netted me a gain of 19 points the last two weeks I'm happy to do it)

I had intended to get rid of Costa before Xmas, and now RVP, while not looking that bad against Villa is a rotation risk for the Newcastle game, while its looking more likely Sanchez could sit out Arsenal v QPR!! Meanwhile I really need one of Silva or Yaya, while Jovetic for the 28th is also a must have IMO. Meanwhile my defensive options are poor as Duff is still out and has bad fixtures anyway, while Green had not been a success (why the hell didnt I consider Panti when I was making that move??)

There's an ideal transfer in there but I just cant quite see it yet. Any fresh eyes would be welcomed as my head is fried a bit!

    Green (Hamer)
    Zab, Terry, Hutton, Dummet, Duff
    Sanchez, Haz, Eriksen, Downing, Boyd
    RVP, Costa, Bony.

    Few things I'm considering...
    1. Costa to Giroud, Downing to Silva - means Boyd will sub in if Sanchez rested (and Boyd home to Liverpool not that bad an option!) and I still have form Arsenal cover (and potential captain) for a game which should have goals. Is it madness to sell Downing even with his tough fixtures though, esp as it will cost at least 0.4 to buy him back in Jan!? Will RVP start v Newcastle?
    2. RVP or Costa to Austin; Boyd to Silva with change left over. Could even get Yaya if its RVP I sell. Gives me great midfield and cover for a Sanchez rotation with Downing to come in assuming I don't bench Austin. But a hit for Austin before Arsenal away?!?
    3. Just do Costa/RVP to Giroud and then get Jovetic and Silva/Yaya next week. No City attacking cover for WBA, Boyd the only cover for Sanchez.

    Anyone fancy a crack?!

Until Aguero returns, iam going woth my guy and playing 4 heavy-hitter mids with 3 mid-priced strikers.

Ideally, I would pick three from my three strikers and the fifth mid each week, alternating between 3-4-3 and the odd 3-5-2.

Boyd probably isn't the best 5th mid for this plan but he'll do for now.

I'd looked at that last night, but I think it may be a case of closing the stable door after the horse is gone. Green has Palace (h), Swansea (h) Burnley (a) Man U (h) after Arsenal. Panti has Villa (a), MC (a), Liverpool (h) and Spurs (a)

That takes you well into Jan wildcard territory, better defence in from of Pantimillion but will he really score much more than Green over that period? Taking -4 into it I'd decided not and think I'm gonna lie in the bed I made there and hope for the best.

In you case are you not a bit worried about Marney on the bench as the only option if Sanchez or even Hazard or Costa sits one out?

Yeah, thats pretty much my Option 1 above, Costa or RVP out I don't really mind which. Selling Downing seems mad, but Giroud (c) looks good!

Ya but Silva should outscore Downing considering their respective fixtures so it should he a safe enough move. Half considering RVP to Giroud now myself, he's been eased back in nicely since his return and shouldn't suffer from rotation whereas Sanchez and Welbeck are definitely due a rest.

Fullily enough I have Green and am looking to bring in Pantimillion too, but for Myhill instead. They rotate pretty well until gw23 where I'll probably use the Jan wildcard.

I'm happy enough to stick with Marney. I have five playing defenders so Marney will only ever be an absolute last option and at least he should get 2 points.

That's a decent point re Panti. I might just go for a City defender like Demichelis so. At least he'd leave me money spare which Zab won't.

Im looking at costa to giroud and siggy to sterling.

I think i'll be sticking to my original plan it's sort of a shame Giroud scored yesterday. Gives me a front 8 of
    Sanchez hazard Yaya eriksen sterling
    Ings Giroud austin.
That will leave me with 2 city spots for Dec 28th and depending on team selection on the 26th it will be 2 from the following 4 kolorav Lampard silva jovetic.

Wait and see what Pel has to say about Kompany. He seemed to hint in his last press conference that he could be back before the New Year so Demi could be on bench on the 28th

I really don't think zabeletta will start on the 28th. I plan to get him in the wildcard.

Theres a good chance you are right, but he's playing extremely well, and Sagna has only had some token appearances. It's possible he'll play both these games, it will make my Xmas (FPL wise) if he does. I've Hutton (home to Sunderland) and Dummet (home to Everton) to cover on the 28th though so can survive if not.

Why all the love for Giroud? After QPR home this week Arsenal play 2 tough away games (West Ham & Saints, respectively 5th and 2nd best defences of the league), are home to Stoke (a team they generally struggle to deal with) and away to City... Is he just a 1 week punt?
