Can you get Heyday TV on Filmon, it looks like a good channel, most of the stuff on Filmon would be Freesat or Freeview.

    The nearest is http://www.filmon.com/tvguide/filmon-rock-tv

Christmas Eve is Frank Sinatra and Swing night!

Christmas Day is TOTP Xmas music!

    Stephen's Day is Banned Songs!

The next day (Saturday) is... .... ....

    Country Night!!

I seriously love The Boss singing Santa Claus is comin to town.

To be fair, I'd probably enjoy The Boss singing Workaholic by 2 Unlimited.

Nice one, that'll do nicely for starters. I like the ad for Frank and Bing's Christmas show.

OMG it's my song! Said every girl with brown eyes ever.

I remember a girl claiming Galway Girl was her song, because her hair was black and her eyes were indeed blue. Even though she was from Wicklow.

I'm sure I've said this before, but Stand By Me gets a 10 from me for definite.

Yeah, there's something about it. It's timeless and it's just the right amount of emotion. It's one I am very pleased to see in the Top 10.

Every time I watch this, he mentions The Beatles, and I go YAY!

    And then it's feckin Yesterday.

I'm gonna do it with an Irish twist.

Reckon "Inné" would rocket me to stardom?

Ha, a Beatles song for people who don't like The Beatles.

Inné, I like it, I've heard a lot worse. A slow tempo song in Irish would work, give people a chance to listen to the words.

This time next year, they might have to be updating the Richest Songs List!!

Fire in a bit of mandolin and see about getting Sharon Shannon on board.

Watch out for me on the LLS, I'll be there in no time!

It's on! Donie, If Richie Kavanagh can have a massive hit with a bit of Gaeilge there's no reason you can't :)

I'd love it if the did this without the Christmas/Birthday tunes.

No 1 is such an anti climax.

    Hee, he would too!

An Irish version of this would be interesting. Maybe they could restrict it to Irish record sales and airplay, to stop U2 dominating it.

8 U2 songs, Fairytale of New York and some weirdness from Enya. That'd be that.

Have we seen this before? Info button mentions Beatlemania, I'm gonna give it a go.

I often find that the shows about the 60s and 70s on bbc4 have weird omissions like The Beatles and Zeppelin.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,779 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Not really up to much so far!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,779 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Never, ever omit The Shadows, mind you.

Yeah, I suppose so. There must be some contrived way of editing them out.

Biggest selling Irish singles by Artists who pay tax in Ireland, or something :pac:

Ha, the whole idea is about three posts old and already it's a minefield.
