Two pics from a few jogs in the hills around a friends house during a break in Germany, offline google maps is a godsent cause of the maze of paths & tracks there. On a previous visit, a 5k easy jog the day before a marathon turned into a 20k slog when I took a fatal wrong turn :o

When I saw that "not so grand" road I thought for a second that you had to have visited Cavan, there's a road like that about a 5 minute walk from me. The photo could honestly have been taken there, it's identical. I used to walk the dogs there a few years ao, I don't have dogs any more so never really have any reason to be on it now.

Instead of climbing up Slievenamon in Co Tipp I've started running the trail around the mountain, it comes in at just around 18miles total.

It gets a little wet at times but has some lovely views depending on the weather

Went out for a run in Glendalough yesterday morning. Past the miners village and onto the Spinc, the boardwalk had a lot of ice. Few snow flakes up top too!...

    They're fantastic pics, thanks.

I did that run a couple of weeks ago, but it was in the dark, so it's good to see what views I didn't see, and just how close we went to that edge

Spent the last 10 days in Germany & luckily brought along my trail running shoes to enjoy a jaunt in the forests & hills around my friend's place after we got a bit of snow one night.

This was taken coming up to dusk so the head torch got switched on soon after!

I keep meaning to upload these photos I took a couple of weeks ago up at Bohernabreena resevoir. Only about 5K from Tallaght but you feel like you're miles away from it all.
