I do not want to pay for water in any way
You are on a different system than me. I pay €73.50 per quarter for three small bins. I can't remember what it started out as but it was certainly over €50.

    https://www.oxigen.ie/app/index.php

You could have said that you are basing you estimation of future water charges on what happened to you bin charges.

    Dublin.
€110 standing charge and €9.50 a bin after that.
A long way from the €1.80 it started out at.

Why is Denis O Briens Irish Independent photoshopping a rioter into the images of the protest from Tallaght today.

I can't link if someone would like to do it for me.

It's really is a sad feeble attempt and well out of order.

I agree with metered water charges

Just putting it out there, but according to this the image is real

Though that program can be fooled with a bit of effort

Social media might be have many negatives, however it's an excellent resource for news that you will not see in the mainstream media, this for example i don't believe would ever be shown on RTE , IW contractors pushing and shoving an old man and trying to force his gate open while they install a meter, whereabouts were the garda here, selected policing or none at all has become a major issue.

    absolutely shocking

As I say, I don't know if it's shopped or not. Could just be crappy focus or jpeg artifacts that make it look fake.

You'd wonder why theres only the one image though, considering it was taken by a pro photographer you'd expect one or two of the aftermath.

Looks like the person is levitating with an invisible bar tightly held in their left hand.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

Seeing as your extending me the courtesy of attacking my post with cynicism off the bat, I'm not sure any explanation I offer would suffice.

Ps, look at the "thugs" foot

He mightn't thank you for calling him an old man. I would say Enda is 10 years older.

The Indo relies on sensationalist misleading headlines and over-the-top opinion pieces, but anyone who thinks that they'd publish a photoshopped picture with the name of one of their own photographers attached to it wants their head read. It belongs in the conspiracy theory forum.

Saying it's definitely shopped because you can't see all his left foot is pretty dumb. It's a movement shot ffs, his foot is just at a different angle.

regardless of the mans age this is shocking footage and a clear violation of privacy, yet they continue working away, they are apparently getting paid as to how many meters they install so try and blitz housing estates.

what annoys me as well are the "ah the poor lads only doing their job" brigade - evidently there are a very sinister and nasty side to many of these contractors as has been well documented in many videos available online.

    That was me.
As I said, bin charges went from €1.80 to €9.50.
Going by that almost 10 fold increase in 10 years, I stand by my figures.
    Come back to me then.

    That's more like a 5-fold increase.
