I do not want to pay for water in any way

So according to the Irish Times this morning, they're going all out to try and put an end to this, but still get the charges in

Given the short-sighted nature of many people, I fear it might be enough to sway those who agree in principle with the whole idea. Of course the rest of us know that these charges won't stay that low for long - and it does nothing to address the whole cronyism involved with IW or the incompetence that has been their hallmark to date.

A mere sop to the foolish, the same fools who'll be wondering how their water bills are so high in a couple of years time.

Another so called "peaceful protest" today, chanting peaceful protest while banging a car and fighting guards doesn't really do anyone any favours in terms of scrapping these charges. Disgraceful behaviour yet again and why the guards don't throw the book at them is beyond me.

Just watched a video on the Irish times site showing people banging on the car with their placards and a man in a grey jumper being dragged away from the guards by his wife as he was attacking them . Then there was a few objects flying through the air at the car.

Anyone debating to go to the protest on the 10th will be discouraged by this sort of behaviour doing themselves no favours at all.

    Lol.

Crocodile tears?? Just pointing out that chanting peaceful protest doesn't make it a peaceful protest

any protest is considered non peaceful to someone acting out of corrupt self interest...

I would like to see IW to cease trading and water to remain controlled by government/local auth
because the guards agree with the protests,

What are you basing this on? You might have a point with the larger organised ones but not the small local ones attended mostly by scumbags.

I never called you, or dx a shill. Ever.

I pointed out, that it was bizarre to say the least, that two, very much pro water charges posters, would quote me, but utterly fall to quote the very first line of my post, which would have been the most important part.

Two of you. Both left it out.

    Very convenient. Very bizarre.

No to both. I don't mind paying for water, I never have.

    bless your innocence

That's them there. Your idea of bizarre is odd.

I would like Irish Water as a company to remain in it's current form
As I said, pro taxer's see what they want to see, even when it's not there.
    We seen that yesterday.

Or see a bunch of scum pretending to protest peacefully while doing the opposite. If that's the type of person at these protests there is no chance of success

The opposite id imagine , people will be there tenfold on Dec 10th .

There are MORE people now outraged by FG/LAB then at anytime in the past and i include FF in that too.

I didn't see you on here yesterday in outrage when a citizen was attacked

    Double Standards much !!

Your first line essentially pointed out that hitherto we all paid for water via taxation. I’m not sure what reply you expect to a “the pope is a Catholic” type line? Or do you think we dispute this?

The 10th will be another peaceful march with even bigger numbers attending.
No amount of bad propaganda from the pro side will prevent that.

The homeowner who has a water jet fired at his genital area?
    Scum????

No but behaviour like that I saw today will derail the idea of a peaceful protest which will be a shame for the majority wanting to march peacefully

Tenfold on the 10th. How many is that, 1.5 million? They will probably try to include all the Christmas shoppers so you could be right.

Tallaght was a local protest and very effective too.
The march on the 10th will be a National protest.

What happened today is pure fascism. If you support it you will reap the whirlwind.
I assume the socialists there are national socialists.

Ok here's the deal , if you agree with Enda and this "fill your pockets " IW concept .
Why don't you have a PRO IW protest and see how many turn up eh?
Then we can all have a proper laugh . I greatly respect your right to march/protest as a citizen
of the state and i would be the FIRST to stand by your side to protect that right .

When i said " Tenfold " it was a figure of speech but i think you know what i meant pedantic pat .
