Rather him gone than Fran or Midge

    Who the fook is Midge?

Nidge told Elmo and Mischa to get Fran and they just pulled him off the street.

Outside the cop shop where they knew he would be brought.

I thought the same. Is heroin not just measured in weight, presumably 1KG bags?

You know that an ounce is a unit of weight?
A "9" is street slang for 9 ounces of heroin, bar or bag same thing :)

A kilo of heroin is a tad large for street dealers to be playing with.

Siobhan says she was raped by Git and Nidge killed him. Look at who was there that night; Siobhan, Fran, Tommy, Darren, Nidge.

    Darren is dead

    Tommy is out of action

Fran is out for Nidge's blood

If Siobhan says it was Nidge who would say otherwise?

She is hardly a credible witness, is she? She was drunk as a skunk when Git raped her. Her previous fella is one of Nidge's henchmen. She seemed perfectly happy to be living with him in her posh pad, living off the proceeds of his and her uncles crimes.

Her current fella is lying in the morgue, after being found off his head on yokes (that she gave him) that caused him to "fall" from the balcony of her apartment. All this went on while her previous current fella was lying in a coma in the Mater.

Charlie Murphy is a brilliant actress and a real looker, but I think that her character is being written to play on our sympathies. I don't think a judge or jury would give a black widow like her, the time of day.

It wasn't a revelation to them tonight, but what they see as confirmation. Have a listen back to the phone conversation between Nidge and Elmo.

    it did

It showed her looking at the phone and sighing , I am not sure if it showed the phone dead or was it a lack of a signal.

Who's to say she was drunk that night and she's credible enough for Moynihan to be tapping her up for info.

She was drunk in the rape scene. She was pissed as a newt all night. I remember Nidge giving out to Tommy about her & the state she was in.

She is great as a general informant alright, but I just have a hard time seeing how would be taken as a credible witness to send Nidge down, given her lifestyle in general. She is being written as an innocent victim, but her lifestyle & who she chooses to hang out with, doesn't really fit in with that.

Are we allowed to discuss the trailer for the finale on this?

I mean, when you put it like that.....it sounds pretty bad. Id prefer to say that she's unlucky in love :pac:

Yeah but she doesn't have to admit that in court.

Being involved in the criminal world doesn't automatically taint your evidence beyond use, if it did a lot of high profile criminals would be walking the streets because a jury couldn't trust the evidence of people who ratted them out. You'll rarely find someone with a whiter than white record and a respectable character close enough to a criminal to give useful, insider evidence in their trial.

They took the evidence of April Collins in the case of the murder of Shane geoghan.

We have not seen Warren in many scenes this season, maybe he will feature in the last episode of this series. Maybe Patrick gets his revenge.

Patricks son is not out of hospital yet, if he has a bad turn, Patrick could seek further revenge, but maybe that is too much for one episode,

I think Fran will die in a car crash. He was driving away with Deans body that time, and I just feel that Fran's character is centred around the fact that he's a loose cannon. Wouldn't surprise me if he was speeding away from the cops or someone else and was in a major collision or landed in a ditch, resulting in his death.

Right, I enjoyed the episode, only had one stand out moment where I felt like my intelligence was being insulted so thats not bad at all really (the dog failing to draw attention to Siobhan) well, the escape from Fran was probably worse actually but **** it, he needed to get out for the sake of the plot

Terrence bugs me, Nidge was quality tonight, the acting from TVL is top class, it really is. I still worry for Nidge with his body guard, I have said all along it was a mistake to accept Paulies man, he will never truly work for or be loyal to Nidge and it may be his undoing. Sets up the finale quite well with a big characters death pretty certain I would think for the final episode, Nidge to be given a choice between himself and someone he cares about is my guess

If that did happen? The cops would probably deduce that his passenger was not wearing his seat-belt, I mean, how else would he have ended up in the boot?

Go ahead and make another thread for next week, we got away with it with this week's episode.
As far as I'm concerned they can either choose between having multiple threads here or giving us a forum - this thread is moronic, hardly anyone seems to be enjoying it any more with all the chaos.

I might be a bit slow here haha, but I don't get what you mean?

The guards aren't just going to sit idly back while Fran is out of prison. Chances are Fran will retreat back to his caravan after burying Dean, and the cops will get word somehow that is where Fran resides. A garda car arrives up in the mountains and Fran tries to get away in his car, a high speed chase ensues which results in a major crash; Fran, and possibly a detective or undercover dead as well?

High speed chases with fatal outcomes have happened in Irish gangland before, and it hasn't been done in Love/Hate yet, from what I remember.

The Garda getting the phone number from the phone shop, and just calling up the cop shop then seeing immediatley it text another number of a "known heroin dealer" - loada boo-hockey.

Two reasons, one there is no way they could have jumped through all the legal hoops to get access to such information in the short space of time they did and two every decent crim knows you (well first of all dont send texts in the first place!) never use the sim that comes with the phone. School boy **** there, but then again Elmo is pretty thick & what sort of a "known heroin dealer" is still using a phone number that the gards have on their system. FACE PALM.

It was so thick how he went about giving the stuff out at the horse yard too (not this episode). First of all he paid 4 or 5 youngfellas to help him dish it out, at the actual stash spot where it all was! 5 youngfellas now know/knew about this spot.
News flash, youngfellas are thick, and they talk.
He text everyone to come meet him AT THE STASH SPOT, one after the other. What did he think was going to happen if the first person who got sorted got caught? Also opening up the possibility of the place getting emptied.

Bet ya hes sorry he didn't pay one of the young fellas for that last bit!
just to debunk the first part...i watched it with a cop, and asked about the sim card and he said they would ask the shop first and usually they volunteer the info and there is no need for a court order.

You're grand, I was just saying that the fact Dean was in the boot after the crash, the cops would conclude that he mustn't have been wearing his seatbelt :pac:
