Paulie is very lippy towards Nidge and I think he will be getting killed before the end of the season, his weakness is without a doubt Siobhan and I think this is going to be used against him.

Nidge has been shown as being weak this season and I think that is going to be turned on its head fairly soon.

But thats his job, to keep Nidge in check and if anything were to happen to Paulie, Im sure Terence would rain down hell upon them.

He has been portrayed as weak for most of the series...begging to Tony and Dano S3, pleading with Fran S4 and now going hat in hand to your man in Spain...

His only real power play was taking out John Boy

He'll have bail sorted in no time. They could have gone down the route of a "bad" arrest and have it thrown out but seeing as it's a real life cop who's character went all Jack Bauer I doubt they would do that.

What's the story with Tommys charge from the tiger kidnapping. Last I remember he was out on bail and the at the end of season 4 went into a coma.

I presume if he does wake up he will have to stand trial. ?

I doubt he would stand trial. A psychiatric assessment would clearly show his diminished mental capacity after being introduced to the business end of a 9 iron! If it was real life I would be quite sure the charges would be dropped.

I think that's the whole idea. Nidge assumed his until S3 easygoing persona would keep things running smoothj but the Git rape incident changed all that and then Nidge became paranoid. He has been shown to be weak but also clever. His deals with Tony show the latter. Pleading with Fran showed both at once. But Fran saw a weakness then (Fran was still Nidge's friend then) that he could now use?

I don't think Fran will be in jail for the rest of the series. He will maybe be there tomorrow's episode and maybe episode 4 but will be left out and may come face to face with Nidge. I have a feeling something will happen that then will bring Nidge and Fran back together as friends at the end somehow? Both to live to fight another day.

It's quite hard to on one hand believe he is one of (if not the ) biggest drugs bosses in Dublin, and on the other have him constantly looking weak....I thought they would try and reinforce his stature by having him knock off the travellers, but not to be

Exactly, his weaknesses have been exposed to his enemies. For Nidge to keep power/stay alive, he would have to take out everybody from Terrence, Fran, Patrick and possibly Siobhan. It could lead towards the final scenes of this season being

Nidge ordering hits on all his enemies ala the Godfather

. Either way we are hopefully going to see a far more ruthless Nidge in the next few episodes as he is nowhere near cutting the mustard at the moment .

No it's Sunday 2 weeks. Tomorrows show has been deferred due to a special on the fallout after the budget. It was just announced on the Saturday Night Show :mad:

My feeling? I'll spoiler it just in case.

Bear in mind, these are my own personal feelings, speculations and thoughts... so I've no idea if any is true. But READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. Don't come bitching to me if you read them, and they turn out true...

-Nidge will try in some way to reason with Fran; "Of course the knacker told you that I killed Linda! He's trying to split us up so he can kill us both!" or some such bullshít. However, perhaps judging on last week's final scene, perhaps that ship has sailed.

-Noelie Hughes might just make an appearance in the 'Joy. Him and Fran going to war behind bars.

-Will Fran make bail? Could there be a possibility that he might get out of jail and go stalking around Dublin like a demon? Unlikely, but knowing how Irish bail laws are, and that the cops might try to "flip" Fran, you never know...

-Paddy The Pipebomber will try to remain impassive and neutral, but Nidge will keep flinging the petrol on the flames an attempting to kill him.

-Siobhán gets clipped... her "rat" activities become known and she ends up on the wrong side of a kebab knife for her troubles.

And so on...
