Learning a 700 word essay? I'm pretty sure the examiner would be able to tell you're reciting something, and turn that against you.

I see your teacher's logic though. I don't think she's telling you TO RECITE AND LEARN a giant essay, but to read it so you get a rough idea of the pictures. Then just re-call a few sentences for each picture from the essay instead of saying everything.

Conversation (?) holds the most marks in the oral I think, so I'd say if A1s were given out ... probably because of the incredible language skills people hold over there :D.

No she is asking us to learn it paragraph by paragraph she extremely dedicated teacher. She takes 6 sixth year students after and before school for an hour just to work on oral. Anyway personally I think its to much and irish atm the for me anyway looks like the most time consuming subject!

    They are 80/600 so 13.3%
    The oral itself is 40%

Are you sure that this is the exact way the question is phrased? Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we can find k if its not in the equation

Oh sorry the first part its actually Given the quadratic -2x^2 -16x + k has the same maximum value as -x^2 -12x + 5 I did perfect square on the second equation and got 41-(x+6)^2 can't find k though!
