What not just take a 4pt hit? Your current team is too like your WC team to go with the WC.

I focused on deffence. I have lost so many points to my rivals becouse of weakness and no cleen sheets.

I wildcarded 2 weeks ago and it has really improved the team on some areas that were not performing. I'm now top of my private league.

I added in ADM and Pelle, switched out Fab to Hazard as I think he is coming into some form and sorted out the defence with cheapies such as Naylor, Bertrand, Wisdom and Duff. Also got rid of DDG and bolstered with good rotating keepers.

If your doing the WC I would try and fit Aguero in as painful as it may be, he looked back to devastating form vs Villa. Tossup then between Wellbeck and Pelle. Also Ivanovic or Baines is another hard one to judge, I currently have the former but it could be time to move.

Taylor,Pieters,Clyne,Moore ,Duff. Selling Pieters to upgrade.

You have no Sunderland defender so I'd keep Mannone and drop Krul.

2/2 for Krul so he goes. Kills me to make transfers so early but I have zero room for what I want plus it is a big upgrade to my back line and more importantly a player mot any have in my main cash league ( which ends on Xmas day)

What does everyone think of getting Courtois goalkeeper assuming hes not injured which I doubt he will be as their fixtures are quite good. If not whats best keeper to get?

Chelsea defender would be better than Chelsea keeper, better chance of goals/assists/bonus points than keeper.

Taking a gamble on Cisse over Welbeck as my Ade replacement, I know Newcastle are crap but if they are going to score then in all likelyhood Cisse will be involved now that it seems he is returning to fitness whereas anyone can score for Arsenal. It's a risk but I have the template midfield and Costa and Kun upfront so I think it's a risk worth taking and frees up some cash to upgrade Krul who has to go and fast.

Just to say that Ade has now joined Lukaka as a player that will never again appear in my FF team. Every year I bring him in and every year he lets me down.

I was actually looking at Cisse there as an option, I have 4m in the bank, and thinking of using it to get rid of Welbeck + Cork for Cisse and Walcott (when he's fit)

Sakho (5.5mil) is a better option than Cisse

Manquillo needs to go lads. I have 5.5 to work with. Any suggestions?

Cisse is one of those players I will always have a soft spot for. I think he could be an option in a few GWs once he gets his full match fitness back and we get an idea of just what Newcastle are up to.

In saying that considering he's got 4 goals in limited gametime which is promising and such a gamble may be worth it. It's risky business though just yet and trusting Newcastle isn't something I'd like to be doing just yet.

Bertrand at 5.2, on the same points as Clyne but .3 cheaper. Could have had a couple of assists yesterday but for some horrendous finishing.

He's rising tonight so you'll have to act fast. Got him in earlier myself.

I know United are leaking goals but Rafael looks a real threat down the right hand side, always gets forward and has a goal or two in him I reckon or at least a few assists because he's constantly crossing in the ball and looking to pass and go.

I had him from the get go 2 seasons ago and he ended up being real value for money. Ye last season he was cat but tbh the whole United team were so maybe he'll hit the heights of 2 years ago.

Ballotelli will be coming out soon for me. Not sure who to take in though, Dzeko, Welbeck or Pelle are the options atm

Out of those 3, I'd be avoiding Dzeko. After that it's a probably a bit of a toss up between Welbeck and Pelle.

Go the extra mile for aguero, the only city striker who's not at risk of rotation and imo is due a high scoring gw soon.

Too expensive. Hurts your team in other positions.

Or the highest scoring forward per minute played in the game, in the premiere league ever for that matter.

Kind of rolling the dice here. Hoping Ivan goes up .1 before Azpi goes up so i can bank a profit and switch to Azpi. I've decided I'm not getting Di Maria. Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal in his next 5 games, I can't see him doing much in any of those.

That's my predicament. If he does, then the price will explode for a midfielder. At the moment, I can swap him for Sterling and still have bank left. If he rises too much, I would be unable to afford.
    Decisions, decisions.

That's the attitude of many thats making kun a great differential at the moment and to be honest I hope everyone in my money leagues stay well away from him :).

    Starting to think this also.
I'm tempted to wildcard but cant fit costa, aguero and baines in my team without having a very weak backline or jeopardizing my midfield . I think Aguero and Costa together will hinder my points in the long run as strange at it seems!

Having read through a couple of posts, I'm now having second thoughts on my WC.

    Proposed changes:
    • Hamer out, Mannone in.
    • Pieters out, Baines in.
    • Terry out, Azpi in.
    • Sterling out, Silva in.
    • Mutch out, Boyd in.
    • Ulloa out, Welbeck in.
I could just take a -8 hit to do the transfers in bold. I really want Welbeck for the fixtures. In order to get Baines in, I'd need to free up the money tied up in Terry or Mutch. But I'm hesitant to take such a hit swapping two players from the same team or for a sub.

The other thing that's eating at me is the lack of any City attacking cover.

Has as much Red Cards in him as Goals!

Welback or Naismith for GW 8, both have favourable home fixtures.
Naismith could be good for a goal but never gets more than 1

Also thinking of getting rid of Larsson/Sterling any ideas of replacments

    Forster
    Clyne Duff Ivanovic (Taylor/Konchesky)
Seb Larsson Siggy Cesc Sterling Di Maria
    Pellè(C) Diego Costa (Ulloa)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,400 ✭✭✭TacT

Downing could be a decent punt instead of Larsson. Silva for Sterling if you have some dosh in the bank, Chadli a decent cheaper option too allowing you to beef up defence/attack.

I have Aguero, Costa and 2.6 mil in the bank. It's fairly easy to fit in two big hitting forwards. Last season I regularly had Suarez and Aguero.

I really don't think Aguero gets enough credit. Think of all the quality strikers that have played in the PL - Shearer, Cole, van Nistelrooy, Henry, Drogba, Suarez. He has a better goals per minute ratio than any of them.
