Long wait for this one, gotta avoid transferring early. Have 2FT's ready though. Internationals first then let's see

Got rid of Krul last week and will probably sell Coloccini this week. No major panic though and I'll see how the week pans out first.

Fair point, hoping Kun comes back alive as he is a big differential in most leagues at this stage.

Need to get rid of Dummett myself. Am considering Chambers though his yellow card count is a worry. May go for Wilson instead.

Pelle to Welbeck is the plan at present and yes I'm aware of the pitfalls.

I have Dummett aswell as Chambers. I'm considering bringing in Gambao as an option. He had a great world cup and played well last week with an assist to add to the clean sheet.

That so and so Naismith has cost me .4 so far in the last week or two, can't dump him quick enough, but for welbeck or pelle? Their ownership is identical, and their next 5 or 6 fixtures are similarly kind. So whichever one I pick is really just a roll of the dice I suppose. Anyone more enlightened on this?

2 transfers in the bank and I'm going one of 2 ways with them.......

Probably time to think of a better long term alternative to Krul/Elliot. Will have to analyse thoroughly the fixtures, form, involvement in other competitions, rotation risk, etc... Of course the pricing criteria will be important since I curently have the cheapest available combo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

Probably De Gea to Forster but will wait until tomorrow. Prepared to take a hit after that if it becomes necessary.

I got Schmeichel in to replace Krul and will probably do Eliot to Heaton in a few weeks. This suits me as I had no Leicester or Burnley defensive cover already. Think that combo should do ok until the January wildcard and I'll reassess then.

Pellé to Welbeck or Sterling to Silva for me.

I'd see this a bit of a sideways transfer...both have good fixtures and could score well over the next few games.

Mignolet (yep, I got that one very wrong) out, Forster in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,518 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

Anyone dropping wildcard this week ?

Thinking about it myself, if only to tidy up my defense.

Anyone got some good value transfers worth jumping on board for maybe ? :)

Robertson looks better value, 9 points today. He's the same price as Chester but he has played over 60 mins in every game this season.

Robertson was mentioned in an early scout article too as getting forward a lot for the previous club he was at (can't remember who)

He was at Dundee United last season.

Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated ;).

I'm in the same boat than you were/are regarding Leicester and Burnley defensive cover. I had not thought about them to be honest so despite today's result I'll add them to my analysis ;).

Might be time to start dropping Burnley players, have Duff and Heaton. Considering Hutton or Guzan. Or Harper in goals (McGregor out till 22 Nov).

EDIT: Actually, might get rid of Wilson and get Chambers. Arsenal will eventually start getting CS's!

Don't forget Chambers is on four yellows.

Have two FTs for this, possibly only the second time ever I've managed to bank a transfer!

I think it's just too damn unpleasant not to have Aguero at this stage. So will be Ulloa to Aguero, which means no Welbeck which had been my preferred plan.

So I'll probably have a good think about Walcott for maybe Sterling or even ADM.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 974 ✭✭✭internet_user

wont be doing anything till next week anyway..will look to bring in aguero or sturridge depending on injuries/fitness over the break

Probably right, he was due to be back after the break, but will not be match fit. Will be keeping a close eye though.

I'm definately keeping Pelle for now (great fixtures and great stats) along with Costa so it's a choice between Aguero and Welbeck. Would like to have Welbeck really but like I said not having Aguero is hard work!

That would leave me no Arsenal attacking player when they've decent fixtures, maybe Ozil for a few weeks till Walcott fit.

    I've 2 things in mind ......
baines in for moreno (can't keep waiting for nice fixtures to convert into points) and falcao to pelle
    or
falcao to aguero and courtois to Forster

falcao tomorrow could also change it all!!!! but I won't be going forward with both ADM and Falcao .....

I'm going to keep Pellè for the next two home games and then get wellbeck for him for gw 10 home to Burnley. Fpl statistics have wellbeck rising tonight .

Yeah it's a close call. Pelle is up there with Costa for shots, shots in box etc. So I'll be sticking with him for now at least.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,397 ✭✭✭OneColdHand

Have 2 FTs, but really not sure what to do with them. I have 3 cheapie defenders and I feel that Moore and Duff might not be great long term options. Might look at upgrading one of those. Have 0.5m in the bank. Thinking of Hutton. Villa coming out of their tough run (though they do have Spurs and Everton in the next 3). They looked well organised against City yesterday - took City a while to break them down.

Not sure about the other transfer, but would be nice to be able to carry that one over by another week.

I actually think Sunderland and Stoke aren't that ideal fixtures. They'll be tight enough games

I have two FTs and looking to make 4 transfers (8 point hit) to to the following:

Clichy, Dier, Silva and Vardy out

Bertrand , Duff, Elmohamoday and D Costa in

This would leave me a team of

    Guzan

    Chambers, Bertrand, Duff

    Henderson, Fabregas, Siggy, Di Maria

    Falcao, Aguero, Costa

    Subs: Krul, Hutton, Wisdom, Elmohamoday

    Thoughts?

    Too much up front?

When I look at the players you are getting in, I'm not sure the -8 is worth it. Costa is pretty much essential, but I'd look at getting him in for Falcao instead. Personally, I would do Clichy and Falcao out, for Costa plus whatever defender you can afford.

Essentially, what I'm saying is, if Duff and Elmohamoday are 2 of the players coming in, -8 isn't worth it.

Thinking about wildcard. 2 weeks break for international. My current squad:

    GK: De Gea, Myhill
Def: Moreno, Dier, van Aanholt, Wisdom, Hutton
Mid: Siggy, Lamela, Fabregas, di Maria, Sterling
    Att: Welbeck, Ulloa, Costa

My deffence is awful. My main rivals took advantage becouse of their cleen sheets. So main reason is to rebuild it in my team. I'm thinking to get Aguero/Sturridge and maybe Pelle (nice gw ahead Southamton). Aguero is a diffrence and I dont have any City player. However Sturridge is going to be back at next game. I think he is hungry and LFC with him get the power from the last season. It could be good steal.

In deffence Bertrand and Foster. Staying with Wisdom and Hutton. Maybe give a chance Moreno. QPR, Hull, Newcastle are next opponents.

    Provisional squad:

    Forster / Myhill
Bertrand, Moreno, Dummet / Wisdom, Hutton
Silva, Siggy, di Maria, Fabregas / Delph
    Pelle, Sturridge, Costa

What do you think? I stayed with wildcard to use it in proper moment. It is now? No bans, no injuries, but my rivals are better than me in last 2-3 gameweeks, so I lost to the leader about 50 points.

    Thanks for any suggestions! :)

    Do.Not.Buy.Moreno.
    That's my advice
He had a nice fixture yday too
He has a nice fixture when I bought him 4 weeks ago too
He has delivered 6 points total in that time for 5.5 ml
    AVOID

Need to ship Pieters out, but for who? Already have Forster in goal but considering getting Bertrand in too is this madness?? Can't see anyone else who stands out.

    Current defense
    Forster
    Pieters-Taylor-PVA-Wisdom-Duff

Time to get Hazard in now we know he is the pen taker!

Fabregas will have to be the one to make one

Fabregas is still an assist machine and got motm today.

I can see why people are getting hazard in but im holding onto Fabregas for another while.

Main piority is to get Ageuro in or Falcao. Then start looking to get Krul out sometime over the next few weeks.

    My Defence is a shambles.

I have 2 FTs and 0.8M in the bank.

I have Guzan & Krul as GKs
Then Wisdom, Dier, Clichy, Chambers & Hutton.

Clichy & Chambers out is my thinking but who to get in?

I'd love a top 3 of Aguero, Falcao & Costa. Have Aguero, Falcao & Vardy currently

Definitely get Costa in before any other transfer. Chambers has good fixtures after his ban and is cheap. I'd get rid of Dier and Clichy first.

I understand this about Fab but over the course of the season I feel Hazard will out score him due to scoring more goals. My other midfielders are Sterling, Siggy & DiMaria.

Have Costa up top so 3 attacking from the one team is 1 too much I feel!

Huge Dilemma as Fab has always been a FF God

    Current Squad:

    De Gea / Myhill

    Hutton --- Wilson --- Coloccini --- Lovren --- Wisdom

    Fábregas --- Sigurdsson --- Sterling --- Lamela --- Tadic

Diego Costa ---- Agüero --- Ulloa

    WILDCARD WEEK

Aim to bring in Welbeck for Ulloa and improve defense.

Lamela and Tadic also to be cut..

    Any suggestions?

Don't pick 5 good midfielders again, make up your mind on who you want as your 4th and spend a max of 4.5 on your 5th.
