Sell Pieters,he is dropping in price as hasn't played the last two.

    Very true also haha.

Ageuro imo is not giving enough credit because he's always injured , really needs to be wrapped in cotton wool but his stats can't be denied.

I'm not sure exactly what his total score is right now but I'd imagine he's possibly the highest scoring striker behind costa or at least up there ?

If I manage to squeeze falcoe into the mix il be happy without going to weak at the back or midfield, it's going to be tough but I might sacrifice Terry at the back and possibly sterling for Henderson to get him.

Last season was the first since 04/05 where he didn't play at least 30 league games. I posted the stats yesterday.

I am going to bank this week and then looking forward I think I will upgrade Fabregas to Hazard and Falcao to Aguero.
But sadly will need to downgrade either Welbeck or Ianovich to do this.

I've got Costa and Aguero. Pellé is currently my third striker but I'm so tempted to move on to Welbeck. But he still has some great fixtures coming up himself. Just can't decide :pac:

Chelsea's fixtures look the worst but Costa is undroppable.

    is wellbeck to pelle pointless?

I am not saying anything negative about Aguero. As a player he is great. All I am saying is that he is priced at 12.2. As a result you have to take lesser midfielders or defenders. it can be done. But, he has 5 goals this season. There are other options at forward that have the same at a cheaper cost. Then you can upgrade several other players. Possibly three scorers rather than one.

Not bad, how many of those are after europa league games?

    Good point,

Thu 23rd Oct 18:00 A Lille Europa League

    Thu 6th Nov 20:05 H Lille.

Eto'o will surely be used somewhere there though one would think.

Sun A and West Ham at home are after Lille H too.

The big man will surely do damage!

I personally think Aguero has yet to hit full stride this season. I was one of the first to get him this season but I just rate him so highly, and he's made consistent(if unspectacular) returns so far. Having watched him tho you just get the sense it's only a matter of time before he brings home some big points hauls. A great captaincy option also

The captaincy issue is extremely important with regard to the merits of Aguero.

I think you make an excellent point. For example, if I were to have Pelle instead of Aguero for the next 5 gameweeks, I think he could well match his output and you would have 4.5 spead across the team.

However, and here is the big thing, when the gameweeks come where Manchester City are lacing their collective boots to face QPR, Palace, Hull etc etc at the Etihad stadium, you have the potential to double your points from a single player by captaining him, and there isn't a player in the league I think is capable of returning the big point hauls more than Aguero.

Now, to clarify, I'm talking about the Aguero who is fully fit and playing every game, not the player we saw last year. Aguero is very VERY close to 100% now. He is sharp, quick and is looking absolutely deadly.

From next weekend on, when Sity are playing, I am going to be terrified of not having Aguero every week unless I get him in now.

And regarding the point of speading the 4.5m acorss the team, I find it is a good idea but it's very hard to reverse this spread when you need the money back!

I'm waiting for the end of the internationals and then I'll decide on Mr. Argentina

In fairness, even last year while rushed back into action he's been great a couple of times (at least once for sure). Granted it didn't last but I remember 1 particular GW when I got him in right after we knew he should be involved and IIRC despite coming in for the last half hour or so he scored and assisted.

    ---

Then there's a notion I try applying in general and I know many would not agree with me on that. It's the notion of "cover". I generally try to avoid having all my eggs in the same bucket. Of course there are exceptions and I've currently 1 Chelsea player per line. But globally I try to get in my team one of the performing player from each big and/or performing team.

So Aguero is currently my City cover. I feel the only other worthy one long term is Silva. ADM is my United one. Falcao and Rooney are the only other 2 worth it IMO. For Chelsea Costa & Fab. I may consider Hazard now. For Liverpool, it's Sterling or Sturridge (have the former). For Spurs, Chadli, Eriksen or Adebayor (have none but considering the first cited). Then you have Arsenal. Many MF options but maybe too expensive for their returns yet so I see Welbeck as the most interesting. Have an eye on him.
Each year you also have a cheaper one who shines from a smaller team. Siggy now. Tadic could be another. Mirallas could become one later... And upfront Pellè is there. Ulloa and Naismith being the cheap current ways.

Of course, in the end you can't have them all and you have to make choices. And my choice is to have a City attacker. Costa is an absolute must have. The other expensive forwards are from MU & Liverpool. Since I feel ADM & Sterling are currently perfectly covering these 2 teams for me, my choice is quickly made re Aguero ;).

Purely based on fixtures for the next few weeks:

    Kompany ----> Baines

    Good idea?

    OR

    Keep Kompany and do Ulloa
    > Welbeck?

    Tasty Arsenal fixtures coming up?

I've had Aguero in my team for a few weeks now and I've been satisfied if not ecstatic with his output. To be honest I don't think he looks as sharp this year as he did when he was really flying last year, even still he could easily have had a hat trick on Saturday just gone, he's always going to get lots of chances and his feet are so quick that he's going to get shots off where other strikers couldn't. I'd be very worried if I didn't have him against Spurs (as a spurs fan I'm very worried but owning Aguero obviously eases the pain), as I recall city tonked Spurs both games last year.

I've a lot of money in my bank and no real desire to change my forwards or mids this week, I'm thinking of going with a premium defender for a few weeks, who's number one on ye're lists. Baines fixtures look terribly tempting.

Azpi's looking good too, got bonus points 3/7 weeks and Chelsea are keeping clean sheets and heading into a decent run of fixtures.

I'm still waiting for Luis to get a run in the league, I just can't convince myself that Azpil is safe in that spot. I'd be prepared to fork out the extra .4 for Cahill or Terry, surely they're both due a couple of goals soon.

That's some stat. I read it earlier but didn't have time to reply. Checked it out and it's correct.

Quote unbelievable because I rarely see Rooney as a good FF option. I certainly wouldn't see him in the same league as Aguero.

I think you pay the extra for the likes of Sturridge, Aguero and Costa because most weeks they will score or assist. The cheaper strikers tend to offer bursts of form but are rarely as consistent as the heavy hitters mentioned above.

The top strikers will have their weeks where they just keep things ticking over but they'll also have weeks where they secure huge double digit scores.

It's no secret that I've had a huge problem the past few seasons finding an elusive third striker to take his place alongside the 'big two' I usually go with. It looks like this season could be no different. I brought in Pelle last weekend and he promptly blanked!

Di Maria is a 60 mil pound player. Do you not think he's capable of performing in United's tougher fixtures?

For me, fixtures come second to form and as long as he is scoring consistently I'll keep him.

It's insanity on the level of Ramsey last year I know but Di Maria still hasn't convinced me that he is a 10 million pound player. I'll reconsider after the next tough 5 games that United have

Baines is looking very interesting to me now that I can afford him. Chadli seems like a good call, he seems to be in the right place at the right time quite a lot recently, personally I wouldn't pick him if I was the manager:o:pac:
