8 year old fighting with 6 year old. 6 year old teasing 4 year old. Our bed is indoors trampoline. 6 year old playing twinkle twinkle very loudly on keyboard. 4 year old trying to get poor old puss to do dress-up. 8 year old singing Counting Stars very loudly and badly. 6 year old decides to make breakfast and kitchen now looks like bomb zone.

I feel like I'm in a bad sitcom most weekend mornings.

Hangover. Tongue stuck to top of mouth. Like sand paper. Dreaming about water all night. Have the fear now so no more sleep. Hoover on down stairs. That's the wife's sign that i Was home too late. Great day in store

I bet you wouldn't change it for the world though!

We were woken up at 5.30 with one of the cats hanging out of the door handle to get out of the kitchen and wake us up. Drives us nuts and it eventually woke up our two year old.

As with most other people, kids.

Eldest fella wakes up before 6, and I shuffle around like a zombie after him. Doesn't help that I am off work and have been up til all hours playing Destiny.

If this thread tells me anything its that kids are a pain in the hole. Slight hangover for me. Probably roll over a try for a few more hours soon.

It depends on the person. Some people like going out getting locked every Friday and Saturday night and spending the next day in bed. Fair enough. I did my fair share of it but eventually decided I wanted more to my life

Agreed... Too many years going out and ending up in Leggs on lesson street for me and hubby. And sleeping all day sat and Sunday... At least now I feel like I'm actually doing something... Even if I do give out about it...

This is it really. Kids are most certainly not a pain in the hole. They are hard work but they bring enormous pleasure. Sure, early weekend starts are a given but that doesn't last forever. If I want to go for pints, my wife will handle the early morning, and vice versa. It's no big deal. Having said that, the lack of a lie-in is only the tip of the iceberg with kids.

Going to bed at 1100 looking forward to a lie in....

...and in typical fashion when you don't have to get up for work - being wide awake at 5am. Went to the gym and here I am relaxing for the day.

    It's not all bad. :)

I actually woke before the children so I decided it was my turn to wake them at stupid o'clock. Early night for them tonight.
