2 Drivers decide to turn left in ahead only lane after presumably missing the turn off.

Weird. Why do so many people have a problem with that left turn? Every day there are muppets changing lanes at the last minute to take this left turn. There's a whole 1km before the junction which should provide all the time in the world to move into the proper lane!

I was driving in a 24hr bus lane myself today!
At Newlands cross the leftmost lane had been rebranded as City/M50 North for the last few months, but now they've undone it and stuck a sign up "bus-lane reinstated".

Lots of people still going down the left lane since they've not removed the road markings!
    What a mess.

I dived (as usual) into the bus lane last Friday Morning after checking the sign. What a job I had getting my articulated truck back out again!

The road marking in their lane is a straight arrow rather than straight + left combo.
Also the op has a green light left arrow.
It would be a flashing amber arrow if he should expect to have traffic coming from his right hand side.
The other drivers probably also went through a red light at the roundabout which would be holding back traffic from their right hand side.

This used to be a roundabout (Bodkin) but was changed recently to a crossroads with lights. The drivers going straight on also get a green light as well as the filter lane i was on only they should not have turned left as you see in the video.

But there's no "no left turn" sign. How's it illegal for them to turn left?

    Rules of the road...

Road markings are a traffic sign in the form and design of a marking on the surface of the road. They have the same standing as upright signs. Road users must obey these road markings.

The sign is the road marking. If the green light had an arrow it would be the same as the arrow on the road and on any sign if it were there.

Strangely enough there was a no left turn sign but it was removed recently?

Putting in that slip road was a bad idea in the first place.

How would you navigate through this one then?

It is about the road markings only. Please ignore the roundabout ahead;)

It doesn't say you cannot go left.

In the image above, is it a case that you cannot turn right on that roundabout?

    No, you can turn right
AFAIR the old road to newbridge is there?

Guys as stated above please no RB talk. Theres a separate thread for that and frankly its quite boring!

The context of the discussion is with respect to the road markings therein. The roundabout is not the focus of the topic.

    No, you can turn right
AFAIR the old road to newbridge is there?

But from the logic above, it would be illegal to turn right because it's not noted on the road marking.

The crux of the matter is that there is an alleged "illegal left turn" yet there is nothing to show why the turn is illegal.

    RB?

If that's directed at me you'll need to explain what RB means.

Indeed, as the road markings show, the roundabout is clearly irrelevant. :)

And this thread is about dash cam vids not road markings so it's clearly not the correct thread to discuss the topic either way.

Clip 1. Taxi all over the place eventually goes into left lane and indicates left then drifts into the right lane again before turning

Clip 2. Taxi stops then goes then stops then goes then goes into bus lane and back out and back in again

No discussing roundabouts, continuous lines, motorway lanes and now no road markings? I reckon no discussion unless you have actually posted a video. Too many armchair moaners on here lately.

Drives me fooking bonkers when taxi drivers sit between two lanes!!
