    Why?
I'm sure someone does, however that was behind my time here - I think my first meet was in 2013

Just trying to sus out when my penalty points will vanish from my licence is all. Rsa people are closed today.

Could almost swear it was in this time 2011 ?

Never mind so... jan 2012 when i was stopped so whenever i paid the fine and points got applied.

I imagine feb 2012 making them go in feb 2015

:( the other two sets are very closely followed so by mid to late next year all points should be gone if i be good.

Really hope it doesnt affect this bus driver application

They were 'dormant' until I exchanged my license for an Irish one in 2011... even though I declared them for insurance.

Dunno if its any help, but when looking at applying for the ambulance service in the UK, they were drawing the line at three.

One set of points can be seen as a honest mistake, a series of points does muddy the water a bit.

Have you done any advanced driving courses? Something like the ROSPA?

That would be just one fine for them just like if your done for speeding now ! Which is not a lot

None of those courses and no point since they wont relate to the vehicles

Dublin Bus used to send their drivers to do the ROSPA exam.

Wouldn't exactly relate to the vehicle but is shows a heigher standard of perception on the road. Crossover skill in itself

I think there was one in Feb 2012. I remember it as I think I'd just changed cars around then.

Big thanks to Vectra today too for some vcds coding!

I've only put on a deposit, collecting it next weekend.
So unfortunately no photos yet. It's a one of a kind car.

Tis fairly horrid looking with that paint.

Am temporarily sorted as I'm about to take my mechanics current runabout off him for very little money in a couple of weeks and use the Ohs car in the meantime.

That means I am now on the lookout for a new permanent car, and tbh, have no idea what I'd like!

That's a fine bus to be fair. Changed hands a few times in the MAAC Club and was swapped around a bit in Cork too AFAIK. Good solid car and well capable of a long spin. Never liked the colour though and all the stickers (used to have more!) Think it's a 440?

The fooking timing belt (not even due to be replaced) snapped at about 45mph on the M50 the other night, engine is destroyed.

Ah sh!t. No chance of getting a new engine or have you had enough? It's a shame as the rest of the car is sorted.

Replacing the engine alone will not fix it, quad here kindly offered one. The head is gone, and there is most likely valve/piston damage, just to strip it down and determine the damage is half what it's worth, there is a 02 gtv on donedeal for 999

Added to that, I'd small work on the exhaust and clutch pedal to do, and the gearbox was starting to act up, so it's gone beyond worthwhile to repair it.

As I've already said, I got three fun years, learned loads and got to know you guys a bit better :)

Yep the guy was showing me pics. When he got it it had loads of stupid stickers and a feckin rear wing from an integra. Heresy.

It's a rebuilt 440, not the original motor but epic noise.

I think it was 245bhp stock.

Undecided yet. I like the decals and the look. I'm not really into show cars, trailer queens etc. I like to drive my cars, even if it's only 1 day a week.

Not sure it's horrid looking. The photos don't do it justice - it is much nicer in person. Saw it at some shows - it was the second "Most want" car from the most recent gasCC show for me, second only to a dodge viper which is twice the price.
