    Sampling or quaffing :D

Well being the classy gentleman that I am, I sampled all what was on tap! Next thing I know I'm out on my ear in the street :pac:

I've had my weird shenanagins when out. This one time I supposedly appeared on tv (I think tv3, if you could call that tv) as I'd apparently ended up with 2 actors from coronation st

Which leads me as to why I'm now sitting on my arse on here now, I've just spent my evening dismantling the filthiest TS engine I've ever seen  :(

I also managed to round a new socket with the inch gun :D:D:D

Not sure it's horrid looking. The photos don't do it justice - it is much nicer in person. Saw it at some shows - it was the second "Most want" car from the most recent gasCC show for me, second only to a dodge viper which is twice the price.

wow man, the truck is gone, I thought it really suited your personality to be fair. The New machine is looking good, parking her will be fun.

Went looking at Rav4s with the other half today. Have to say, they're surprisingly comfortable and fairly decent for the price 2nd hand ones are seeing, have warmed to them quite a bit.

    What year, out of curiousity?

I had an 04 for a year. Loved it. Always thought the next model up (2006-2012 I think?) looked nice, too.

I don't like the new version at all, though (the current model on sale). Have never taken to it. I know everyone has different taste, though.

Mine never gave a moment's trouble though. And was piss-easy to DIY with servicing and stuff (whether that is still true or not with newer models, I don't know).

    Got a 6:30 wake up!

Nothing says good morning like a girl screaming hysterically in the adjoining apartment.

    I DID IT!..
    I DID IT!..
    I DID IT!..
    X 10
    Sob..
    Wail..
    Unintelligible..
I DIDNT SEE HIM IN 3 YEARS
    3 YEARS!
    X 4

Thought for a minute she might have killed someone, ran someone over.
Still hysterical after nearly half an hour but thank **** they moved to a non adjoining room.

Hate the new neighbours, scabby landlord put up the rent and now there's all new neighbours top, bottom, left & right.

    Fecking wide awake now.

    Well here's what I reckon,

Some guy was comforting her, I think two fellas live in the one bed apt so we were under impression it was a gay couple and one of them was her gay best friend "bob", that might explain why she turned up distraught for an agony aunt session.

After the "I did it" scene, act two was bob telling her "the only reason he broke up with you was because he thought he'd get someone better."
    And
"If he was a real man he would have given you a reason."

From the fragments I could pick up I reckon "Jill" had been in a serious relationship a few years back and was pretty infatuated with "jack", maybe she was expecting to get "the one ring" from him, but instead he dumped her without reason.. If he didn't tell why he split it's probably cos he had another woman on the scene.

Then after the "three years" scene, I heard bob ask "did you sleep with him tonight" and she said "no" then later think I heard "I'm not a whore"

So I reckon that last night out of the blue "Jill" who's probably in another relationship now was out on the town and had a few drinks then bumped into "jack" and had a bit of a kissy reunion cos she's still not over him.

She's still talking loudly about it this morning,
I reckon she's just a self centred brat who's watched two much made in Chelsea and other soaps and think life needs to be that dramatic.
Her asshole mate is encouraging her dramaaaa...

You need to pop a note through the letterbox offering your advice on the situation. If nothing else it will let them know they can be heard :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,618 ✭✭✭ba_barabus

Well that's a lot less exciting than I had hoped for

    That's not a bad idea.
We've had two other neighbours who had massive arguments.
Neighbour one was a real door banger shouting match, I was almost expecting things to go south and need to call the Gardai to a domestic.
The second was in a floor above us and was in another language, thought we would see a body thrown off the balcony.

This is a supposedly luxury apartment but that doesn't mean much when it comes to all new tenants. I guess apartment life is for that shaky middle ground of relationships, and based on what I hear they can disintegrate in dramatic fashion.

Last night was tame enough in comparison.

Yeah, I'd like some distance from my neighbours but seems the newer a house is the smaller the plot and more likely to be connected to another house. Even those from early 2000's are very close and are semis with no sound protection between. Just have to pray your neighbours are like minded folk.

In other motoring news I've been offered a "scooter" for €150. It's been in a shed for 18months. That's all I know about it. Are these things expensive to have serviced and put back on the road? Would be handy for using over the winter.

While probably impossible if like to buy a house in Dublin that hasn't had the garage converted into an extra room. I'd also prefer an older house from before the start of the building boom

    Feck that

My idea is big house in the middle of feckin nowhere where the nearest neighbor is 20 mins away by car .... with a driveway that makes the house 10 mins from the road !

Why the hell would you want to live around other people ? Somehow theres always complaints and people being nosey and so on.

Would any of our DIY guys here have a spare set of speakers for a MkII Punto?

Been driving without a radio for about 3 months now and i've finally snapped but i'm too much of a scrub to figure it out myself. :(

So my brother swapped his BMW 540 for a Jag S type 4.0. Sat in the Jag this evening, and I want a Jaguar now. Lol.

I'm good for life with my RCZ to be honest :D All the car I will ever want.

Its a very nice car though, this Jag. Not super fast but it'll cruise along nicely and there is a lot of grunt once you put the foot down. All in the comfort of a Jaguar too

I always found the BMW to be too hard (suspension wise) and very bland inside.

haha yeah, was a wrench to leave her go if I'm honest but the 500+ bhp with no NCT requirement was too hard to turn down.

I don't think I'll ever let this one go on, unless I get a deal on a Dodge Viper.
