    A 156.
Happened to me as well that the clutch pedal jammed to the floor.
Popped the bonnet to see brake fluid all over the place.
Cylinder had packed in, back on the road 3 hours later.

3 hours? Last one I changed took an hour and a half.... And that was with the engine out!!!

Well, on my own 156 it was done in about half an hour.....

Well I just pushed it into the garage nearest to me but the guy was busy so I had to wait.

If it were a V6 and the slave went, they're handy to change. But the master in any 156 is a wanker to change and the slave in a TS is a box off.... And that's quite the task on it's own!

The guy didn't seem to have too much trouble on the JTD.
They were an awfully tight engine for timing belt changes though.

Any word on if there'll be another meet soon?

This month would have been ideal as next month the weather will start to turn crap, will this be the first year without a big meet?

Guys is the sound on a Saab 93 very bad?
I was talking to a friend of mine today who told me that if I was interested in buying one then seriously upgrade the speakers.

Usually, it's the end of September/stat of October for a meet this time of the year.....

Sometime in the next three weeks would be ideal I'd say, weather doesn't seem too bad.

Any sport that involves a lot of standing around, throwing things, and drinking heavily can't be all bad!!:D

But yeah, weekend after the mooted date suits me better too.

Some smoke out of this Audi. Seems abit mad that just a bad intercooler pipe would cause this.

Less air means overfuelling, it's not combusting correctly so it fires all that out the back!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,428 ✭✭✭Dartz

If it's leaking after the airflow sensor, the engine's thinking it's getting more air than it actually is and is adding fuel to match.

In America, this is considered culture.

If it's the slave cylinder I'll be transporting it to my new gaff in meath and breaking it.

I'm half expecting to see a paper clip behind the pedal already tbh.

It's not fixed by the paperclip. The original clip was fine

Had my first experience with a seized calliper last night, not fun! Although it's the most obvious things that work the best it seems

As pred says, let rip with your largest swingable tool, doesn't even need to be a hammer :)

That's what i thought too but no! Copious amounts of wd40 in under the rubber sleeve, like peel it back and basically p1ss the stuff in, then rest it on the old pad on the inside, pry bar and jobs a good un! takes about 10 minutes to do :o
