I dont mind mechanical work, I don't mind things blowing, rupturing, exploding even, I don't mine getting covered in crap or all the awkward positions i have to contort my hands into, one thing i cannot stand though is leaks, it's a horrid feeling of not being able to stop them :(

It's the riff from Orion that really does it for me, another song I like a lot

It's a well used sample no doubt.

This is one of my fav shadow 12's i honestly think he made it to be played at 45rpm and not 33 (im talking a foreign language kids lol) , i used to always play it at 45 at gigs and on the wireless. No one on youtube seems to have copped onto it lol it's a different song when sped up.

Pretty much anything on Mo-wax records from that era is fire, played with these guys in Dublin back in the day.

DJ Krush from Japan, one of my all time fav records.

The internet has kind of ruined the art of digging (smaple spotting/hunting) to be honest, i remember a time when you had to put in serious graft to find out lol.

What english band sampled this for their most famous hit ? dont look at the comments it's cheating!

a few more off the top of the dome.

    about 2.12

Probably one of the most sample drum loops ever.

porbably the second most sampled drums (number song among many others lol)

Niiiiiiice  1998 must have been a good year for sampling! :D

Heres one for you, about 4:20 ;)

    And another, about 2:20

Love it. One of the greatest. One of their most famous hits/smapled songs Apache was actually a cover of The Shadows Apache (cliff Richards first band)

I just love this tune it has it all

With all this talk of vinyl, here's myself (fat fingers) and a mate (skinny fingers) lol a few years ago.

    http://vimeo.com/23417362

you will find one or two car related videos on my account to keep it on topic lol

Ho. Lee. Crap. That's unreal, you make that look so easy!!!:eek::eek: Would you get asked to do gigs?

Just 3 more originals before I get shot :pac:

    About 41 seconds

And one of my favourite songs (and band) of all time, ruined by one of my most hated bands!

I'm up late, recovering from where the engine crane smushed me when I tripped earlier. If it fell on me I doubt I'd be able to breathe!

    Method to my madness :P

Haven't done a gig in years, it was my job for nearly 9/10 years i guess. These days it's a love/hobby that i dip in and out of.

I'm up late because i'm working night shift lol

Lads would any of you be put off by a car that has nearly 250k miles?
Seen a car I quite like that has an impressive spec inside and also looks immaculate inside - no tears on the leather at all and has quite a good few jobs done.
I intend to keep the car a few years and I'm being moved away from this one due to the miles which works out at nearly 400k km.
The seller isn't selling it exactly cheap, in fact I've seen similar cars with less miles (and less spec tbf) so the exact same price.
    Ideas?

If you can get another car with less miles and similar price then go for another one.

Maybe but probably not depending on what it is :)

For a "normal" car with good history and low owners I wouldn't care.

Yeah I can easily but the spec will be different, not so much but different.

It's an Executive version Accord. UK import and has had the manifold and cat problem sorted.
Whereas with the cars with lower spec and miles there is no mention of this job so it could either have been done or not.

I spend the last 2 hours moving all my photos from my build thread to a new host, photobucket wanted me to start paying to display pictures, moved over to imgur so the build thread is now fixed.

Go in with your eyes wide open and give it a proper look. I've never had a low milage car really so it wouldn't bother me once it's in excellent condition (which it would really want to be if it's the same price as lower milage examples!)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,900 ✭✭✭✭bear1

Just to make it known, the car is up for 2.5k which obviously if I were to go for it I would negotiate.
For arguments sake the closest example I can find to compare them is this one:

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/honda-accord-executive-cdti/7526780

But it's a 04 - the other is 05, same price but with a nicer colour combo and has 100k miles less.
Exactly 1 month until I have to make my decision but I'm planning on choosing one very soon :)

At least the chances of it being clocked are significantly reduced!

Same for me and Diesel Power, what was worse though is the 406 was too loud in the wee hours and thus woke her family so I couldn't bring it anymore for late nights to hers :pac:

Speaking of music, big thanks to mr tossy for reminding me how awesome "I Got the..." is, since then it's now added to the playlist :D now people will think I'm some sort of pimp or pervert if I blare that :P I feel like I need a Consul GT just to play that in.... Shagpile everything too!!!
