Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you get your docs uploaded and submitted by 19.09.14 you will still be fine. Only one that takes any time is Garda Clearance, and if you happen to live near where ever they process it (Tallaght for south Dublin, right beside the Square) you can arrange to pick it up from there rather than wait on the post. Typically takes them no more than 48 hours from receiving it.

Do you know if it will be possible to submit some certificate later? I have to get certificates from 3 countries. For Ireland, I will get it from Leixlip station.

My friend is in the same boat as you and tried to do that yesterday. They would not restamp it. His Conditional Acceptance letter is only valid until Sunday so no he's not sure what to do. Should he put in his original police cert which is out of date and just hope they look for an updated one which he will have by the middle of next week? I think his Conditional Acceptance was only valid for 10 days and he only realised he'd got it about 3 days ago.

Got mine sorted today just rang my local station gave them the code from my previous one they sent me out a new one yesterday and arrived in the post this morning.

That doesn't sound right, you should have about 6 months to complete the second (CIC) stage of the process when you receive the conditional acceptance letter.

Mine is the same I got my letter of acceptance thing on the 3rd of September and it says I have until the 18th to fill the whole thing out probably because of being on waiting list.

I just hope the having a year to enter still applies because when I didn't get a visa in March or April I decided to go back to college for the year I have already left my job to do so and payed for a years rent so the earliest I can go now is June of next year and that's if I pass all my exams if I have to do repeats then I won't be able to leave until September 2015 at the earliest.

Also what are people putting down for the

How long are you planning to stay in Canada?
I want to move over for good but unless I get sponsored i'll only be able to stay for the two years

Also what about the question that asks is the person applying over 18 and a dependent?
Is a dependent not only a person who is under 18 and lives off their parents?

I filled out the questionnaire and got a code but it never asked me for a name or any details other than the questions am I suppose to register an account before filling this in?

I just went onto the CIC site to look again at those questions I asked about above and their now seems to be a different set of questions on page two of questionnaire than their was two days ago when I filled it out like questions about net worth and the occupations I have a Civil Engineering degree their no section even mentioning construction the other day on the site now their is one??

Doubt it to be honest. If one is Australia though, I can tell you I applied for mine online (can send all docs online with them too) on a Sunday afternoon and it was in my postbox by Thursday morning (used NSW).

I just put down permanently and I had no job or sponsorship at the time and I got my POE without any problems

Can anybody tell me how I sign the CIC form digitally? When I place the cursor over the section where the signature goes it either goes into the I declare part above where the signature should be or it goes below the line where Signature of applicant part is. When I click on either of these parts the cursor flashes but when I type nothing comes up on the screen?? According to the CIC help you just click and type your name but this is not working.

EDIT: Got answer in another thread

when you submit everything you will be brought to a page where you just accept the terms and conditions i think you might just type your name into a box as far as i can remember and thats you done. Make sure everything is correct before you submit.

Jesus. You took a bit of risk there. You had paperwork for 2 years, therefore you say you're planning on staying for 2 years. Saying you're planning to stay for good on a 2 year visa is just asking for trouble. You were a very, very lucky boy (or girl)

I sent off all my CIC stuff 2 days ago and have got 2 emails of them since saying my account has been updated but when i log in nothing has changed.Am i missing something here??

So just incase anyone else that was on the waiting list was freaking out about having to pay twice.. don't fret just resubmitted the docs again on the mycic portal, you do NOT have to pay the fees part, again. it just registers as 0

Im almost certain that unless I put down permanently on the form, It kept highlighting it when I went to complete the form and wouldn't let me complete it.

I just got the POE letter this afternoon so is that it then or do I have to apply or register for anything else before I decide to go? Because it mentions something about a visa and work permit on it but i thought the visa was what I was applying for through the IEC and the work permit was what I was applying for with the CIC?

And for anyone wondering it's says I have to be in Canada by 15th of Sept 2015 so anyone who gets one will still have a year from the issue of the letter to enter.

I think or at least I hope that the POE letter is all you need from the Kompass/CIC application process. That plus your health/travel insurance and bank statements.
Somebody please correct me if im wrong because im flying next tuesday!

I just got a rejection letter from IEC after all that, saying they regret not being able to assist in getting work permit.

no reason no explanation nothing !

All my documents were there i was on the waiting list for ages then got cal letter , did everything according to the rules, there is absolutly no reason why i should not get visa

I think its a money scam

    **** canada.

I received a letter today saying that a place had become available for my IEC category and I have until 10 October 2014 to put forward payment and documents?

I was reading the last few posts and see you guys were filling out forms etc, am I missing something or have I not actually been accepted?

That is the IEC stage. You only need to submit the requested documents (Passport photopage and CV) and payment. Once you are approved, you can then proceed to the next stage (CIC).

anyone know is it possible to change your DOB in the application?

I stupidly entered in a wrong DOB and submitted and can't go back and change, I've messaged them but no response, I'm only on the waitlist but still it seems they are rushing through the process when you are picked and dont want this to interfere with my application.

Once you get your letter of invitation, that counts as having participated in the program, even if you don't use it. So you would not be able to apply in 2015.

he means cal i think so its only conditional letter of acceptance , rather then the poe so you would be able to reapply .

    Yes, you can.

I only received my CAL and it's only valid for 2 weeks. Going to be a right bastard with the police certificate, there's no way I will receive that before the expiration of CAL. Load of crap.
