If Rooney doesn't get his act together today, will get him out for Aguero.

Rooney to Costa is one I'm considering if I'm given reason to go that way.

This will be the week I use my wildcard, managed to resist upto now

2 if not 3 of my United players will be out the door if they continue to play like that in the second half.

Vlaar out. Probably a liverpool defender in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

Rooney's gone to Aguero. I may even ship Mata out too.

Yeah Mata likely getting the chop unless he scores here. Will wait until after the Internationals anyway, might even bank the transfer. United face QPR (H) next game and can't think of an easier possible fixture atm

To wildcard or not to wildcard...

I dunno. They should have easily beaten Burnley too. :o

Have 2 transfers. Probably going to get rid of Mata for Sterling. Although QPR at home is tempting me to keep him for one more game.

It was never going to be easy though, new promoted team at home against United who haven't clicked - they would have thought before the game they could get something.

QPR next match I would regard as an easy fixture.

Jaanmaat in for Dummett....is that the end of Dummetts run I wonder for Newcastle?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

    So...wildcard time?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,049 ✭✭✭unkymo

    Mini-wildcard time for me!

I've 2 free transfers banked so I'm going to take an 8 point hit for 4 transfers instead of using the wildcard.

Why didn't you do that before today...:P

Activated wildcard and this is the team I've come up with. Have £1.1 milly in the bank. What improvements do I make here?

If you're going with Courtois then no need for Krul. I'd downgrade him to a 4m non playing keeper. Yoshida could lose his place to Gardos and Hutton's upcoming fixtures are awful. Dier could lose his place as that Spurs defence is a minefield. Clyne, van Aanholt, Neil Taylor and Coloccini all worth considering for your defenders. Hutton to Wisdom as well. Your attackers look good though, can't really see much you could change there. If you downgraded your defence a bit you could afford to upgrade Naismith to a much better forward like Bony for example.

    Cameron out for Clyne.

You need to monitor this page, http://fantasy.premierleague.com/stats/elements/?element_filter=0&stat_filter=transfers_in_event and try to catch risers.
Even if you have no interest in a particular player, if he rises 0.2 you can bank the 0.1 to strengthen your team.

Have 2 FT to use for GW4. Main priority is get S.Fletcher out, Sunderland looked awful going forward today, not many goals in that team.

Rooney/Costa/Fletcher is my front 3 and I have 3m in the bank. Might get Aguero in, want to see how Eriksen does as I might ship him out of he blanks again; if he does Aguero transfer will have to wait

Advice welcome! Current midfield is haz/eriksen/ramsey/sigurdsson/marney(sub)

Will consider wildcarding, just because... there might be a couple of players to get a rise out of. Dyer and Schneiderlin could rise and I expect Mata and Rooney to fall, so could get them out and then get them in again at the end of the week for QPR. There are probably 2-3 changes I'd be happy to make but mainly would like to get rid of the wild card just to rid myself of the desire to use it! :pac:

Wilcard time methinks. Rooney and Mata both likely to drop after another stinker today

Wildcard played already so might just back transfer even if Rooney does drop in price.
Injury is all that'll make me make a transfer I'd say.

The main thing i'd advise with 2 transfers and an international week to come is to try and wait to use those transfers. I've been hurt before making them too early and a third of my team getting injured while playing for their country. It's not fun. I think getting rid of Fletcher is a good idea alright. The question is, woud your rather upgrade him to someone that's a bit more expensive (ade sticks out) or going sideways to someone that might be a bit better for points (e.g. Chamakh or possibly Berahino. I'd personally prefer the former. With any player costing 5-6 you can't really expect too much from them really to be honest. I think having 3 forwards that you're happy with starting every week or 5 midfielders that you're happy to start each week is what one should be aiming for. What's your defence like at the moment?

I have two FTs as well and the current plan is Mata and Rooney out to a cheap mid and Studge. I'd like to wait but fear that Mata and Rooney will plummet in value the next few days.

Looking like it'll be Rooney out and Costa in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 20,669 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

Think i might not bother with the wildcard - only need to ship out rooney and a defender. Might just take the 4 point hit and save the wildcard for another time.

Would be the first time I haven't burned the wildcard on this week in about 5 years

They are at home to QPR next week, hold fire for one more week

Jovetic isn't going to start next week IMO, that brings a new dilemma for me.

That could twist your arm alright and would be a gamble that you can justify.
They do have QPR at home though... that's gotta be pretty tempting! (I know it is personally anyway though getting in Fabregas for mata is pretty logical to me now).

I'm planning on wildcarding Rooney out and then maybe back in again... it's pretty dependent on value drops/increases but with sites being unreliable for the updates I'm not sure i can depend on it. I think I'll leave enough cash to do Rooney to Aguero for the week after as I think I'd rather Rooney at home against QPR than Aguero away against Arsenal (I know Aguero can score against anyone but I think QPR are really terrible).
