    Mata to sterling anyways.
Will probably bring Costa back in after transferring him out  rooney out id say.
Will probably do them early in fear of price changes

Think ill use my wc bring Ivanovic in straight away..have 2mil in the bank. Sterling needs to be brought in too possibly for mata, United attackers can't be trusted yet anyway.

Don't have Fab, costa or siggy, need to get at least 2 of them in.
Mata, Jovetic and Schürrle likely ones to go

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,700 ✭✭✭Danger781

Jovetic out this week I think.

Nobody else is a major concern yet, except for maybe Dummett who appears to have lost his place. No urgency there yet.

Transfer window closing tomorrow night, break for the internationals, time to activate that wildcard.

Isgrove will be the first to go, not sure after that.

Rooney to Balotelli/Sturridge depending on how they line up tomorrow.

Probably look at Mata out for Sterling.

The main thing i'd advise with 2 transfers and an international week to come is to try and wait to use those transfers. I've been hurt before making them too early and a third of my team getting injured while playing for their country. It's not fun. I think getting rid of Fletcher is a good idea alright. The question is, woud your rather upgrade him to someone that's a bit more expensive (ade sticks out) or going sideways to someone that might be a bit better for points (e.g. Chamakh or possibly Berahino. I'd personally prefer the former. With any player costing 5-6 you can't really expect too much from them really to be honest. I think having 3 forwards that you're happy with starting every week or 5 midfielders that you're happy to start each week is what one should be aiming for. What's your defence like at the moment?

    Krul/Foster

    Azpilicueta/Phil Jones/Chambers/Duff/Moore

Yeah, not going to make any changes until after the internationals unless price changes force my hand (although they cant be tracked accurately at the minute so they won't!). Happy enough with defence, Chambers will probably need to go soon but i'm in no rush. Azpi/Jones will play every week with the 3rd spot to whichever defence is doing well or has the softest opponent. Burnley look solid at Turf Moor and Leicester also look fairly organised.

I'm going to go 3-4-3 every week unless I splurge on Sanchez maybe but that's not looking likely at the minute. Fletcher/Sunderland just looked absolutely terrible going forward today which was the first time I've watched them. Most likely transfer is Fletcher -> Jovetic and Eriksen -> someone if he doesn't perform tomorrow... although that could all change over the next couple of weeks!

I took Rooney out for augero this week even though Sergio didn't deliver long term it looks better but I'm still keeping mata in the team, qpr at home next.

Even though mata's price is falling he's still right now a good differential as only two people in my league have kept faith in him.

you know mata went off injured - hamstring?

I still think Rooney will have a pretty good return for the whole season but Utd are just so bad at this moment in time. Anyone thinking about ditching Utd cover entirely??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,762 ✭✭✭jive

Right that's Naismith in for Fletcher for one of my free transfers, he'll surely rise after scoring again so will do it tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,747 ✭✭✭Ziegler1988

I have two FTs as well and the current plan is Mata and Rooney out to a cheap mid and Studge. I'd like to wait but fear that Mata and Rooney will plummet in value the next few days.

I could also just do Mata to Sterling, but then I have to bench one of: Siggy, Eriksen, Fab, Ramsey, Sterling, Costa, Rooney, Naismith. Good problem to have I guess....

2 week break though more than likely he'll be ok I'd say. I'm just not comfortable with no United cover at home against a newly promoted team , they'll turn it round soon and put a good few past somebody.

Considering using my wildcard now, this is the team I could get... total of 7 transfers needed to get there. What do ye think, any improvements to be made?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 321 ✭✭Gatame

    Thinking about wildcarding from

    Begovic/Krul
    Terry/Chester/Colo/van Aon/Moore
    Lamela/Eriksen/Sterling/Ramsey/Siggy
    Rooney/Costa/Naismith

    to

    Lloris/Krul
    Vertonghen/Ivanovic/Colo/van Aon/Moore
    Lamela/Fabregas/Sterling/Ramsey/Siggy
    Costa/Pelle/Naismith

The strikers aren't really jarring my interest, I had Eriksen and Lamela from GW1 planning on shipping out whoever is playing wide but depending on tomorrow I might keep both.

Wildcarding to make 4 changes?? What a waste!

I'm to-ing and fro-ing about using my wildcard, but there's nothing significant I want to change. I want to bring in Aguero for Rooney but I can do that over two weeks. Apart from that, I'm reasonably happy with my team going into gw 4. Might just wait it out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

I'll likely bank my transfer unless Mata is confirmed out, then do three changes the following week to end up with something like the below. Have £0.2m which will cover price rises/falls which will likely occur with Rooney and Aguero. Keeping the faith with Terry for the moment despite Ivanovic scoring for fun!

I'd it worth using my transfer for Berahino-> Naismith?

I'm going to do Mata to Sterling and keep my faith in Rooney as I feel United will have to come back at some stage.

40 with 4 to play.. Average enough..

I'm not sure about sterling in the long run.. I already have him, Fab, Ram.. I'm considering moving him on for Silva

I don't think it is, it's 12 points worth and isn't a terrible use of it really especially if you catch some wind to get some extra value in your team.

You could well argue that it's best to save the wildcard for when you really, badly need to use it to gut your team and make whole scale changes but you could never be in that position and let it go to waste. Ideally you'd never be in a position to need to use the wildcard and if you can use it to make what is a good team a great team then go ahead.

What I think a good idea is for anyone that wants to wildcard this gamesweek is to try and ride some of the (dirty word here) bandwagons like Dyer to gain a quick buck before getting in players you would actually like to keep for a number of weeks.

Why are people keen on getting Silva in?

I have him in from the get-go and I'm considering shipping him out. Not doing enough for £9million.

I'm wary of how Balotelli will affect Sterling. Might punt on Lamela

He always gets good returns. I'll be looking to get him in after their next 2 fixtures (Arsenal/Chelsea)

There's a lot of competition for places at Liverpool now. Markovic looks like a handy player too so I'd expect Sterling to get subbed a lot this season.

If you're planning on going 3-4-3 then i defintely think it's worth upgrading Fletcher alright. The main thing is that you want that midfield and forward line to be solid, definite starters who you'd be confident of being involved in attacking play every week. Naismith is an option if you'd rather not spend too much on forwards. He'll definitely rise in value in the coming week which would force your hand early but could be useful in gaining some value in your team.

I'd be a bit wary of Jovetic due to rotation risk. I think he's a wonderful player but just might not get the game time to be worth having as a fantasy football option. It's the same situation as Dzeko. They create frustrating situatons for you regarding whether or not they'll start which isn't what you want as a player as it's really frustrating and anxiety inducing!

Who would you see as a good ride this week:)....just played WC and of those kind of characters have brought in Clyne and Ivanovic at back, Dyer and Puncheon in MF AND Naismith up top,
any other names I have missed?

Sound. I've bit the bullet and gone for Naismith already because he will continue to rise I reckon. I still have my WC so I can keep tinkering until such time that some players I don't have become essential (most like City players once their fixtures strengthen).

    Krul/Foster
    Azpi/Jones/Chambers/Duff/Moore
    Ramsey/Eriksen/Siggy/Hazard/Marney
    Costa/Rooney/Naismith
    £3.3m in the bank

Happy with the above at the moment. If Eriksen doesn't perform tomorrow then he is out, potentially for Sanchez (if he performs) or Silva (I'd like City cover). If Eriksen does do well then I'll just sit on the transfer until nearer the start of the next gameweek.

I don't think there's any other mids between £8.0-10.5 worth considering really? Can't get Fab cause already have 3 chelsea. Not interested in United mids atm, can't trust Lamela and I rate Silva > Nasri by a mile in fantasy. Tempted by Ivan too I must say, might get him in closer to deadline if I still feel the way I do now <3
