Is that really good though? We will all have like an extra week off next summer or during the year?

My school day will be 9-6:30 so I guess that's why we start back late.

Wish we did start earlier though, all my friends are back now, leaving me all alone! :(

You finish school at 6:30?!?!?!? I thought going over 5pm was illegal.

    WHAAAAAAT?!!!!

Do you mind me asking what school?

    Surely that can be allowed.

How does your day break down?

Yeah I know :) 'School' school runs until 4:30/5:00 depending on your subject choice and then there's a mandatory study/homework period until 6:30.

I prefer it that way, so we get most of or work done at school, and have relatively little to do at home. Plus we have three breaks throughout the day so it's not so bad. I reckon it'll take some getting used too though!

What kind of school is that
I dont understand how a school can introduce a mandatory after school study unless it's voluntary

In fairness, it is a grind school (not the IOE!) :)

I really cannot wait to start, I think the whole structure and way of doing things is really going to suit me!

I don't see how the school could force people to stay behind so they could study and do homework. Surely the 'messers' wouldn't agree to it and parents would be upset.

But I'd prefer it like that aswell, I love school ;)

You know, it was all made very clear from the start, so everyone should know exactly what they're getting in to.

    I know, I love school too :D

Ok, fairly random question now :), anyone else into Tea/Coffee?

I'm in the minority among my friends, they wouldn't touch either of them!

    a huge hot beverage drinker

I like Earl Grey and any Japanese green tea. I'm going through bit of a peppermint tea phase lately, drinking loads of it. But no way do I ever put sugar in tea! it's a sin :) Love really strong coffee too (sugar-free aswell :P)

And to add another random question should I do applied maths outside school or not. Is the course voluminous

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,823 ✭✭✭DublinArnie

Kelly, how can you drink tea without suger?!

Applied maths looks alright, and not that hard if you're a maths type person.
