    Okay he missed the green

But hes still the Greatest Of All Time!

Bubba is very unlikeable with these pops at his caddy. If you knew there was mud on the ball don't play the fooking shot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,465 ✭✭✭Felexicon

And no fore shout on 18. A real class act.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,695 ✭✭✭ForeRight

I know sky and everyone is always banging on about pros not shouting fore for wild tee shots but wouldn't it be great if the mashed potato crew shouted fore as a group for a pros wild tee shot.

I loved the clip of him at the end. He was the one reaching out to first bump with the kid. It's great to see.

Jason Day and Jim Furyk in the final group.... might be another dark finish!

Great win by Hunter Mahan, and Jim Furyk bottles it again.

At this stage, it's beginning to look as if the only way Furyk will ever win again is if a tournament has to be abandoned at the end of round three.

It's a shame for Furyk. His confidence must be a bit shot so I wonder how he will perform in the Ryder Cup.

I do feel for him watching him drift away on Sundays of late but I suppose there are different ways to look at it.... he has been just about the most consistent golfer on tour this year.

He had an interview today where he said the following and I think it's a great mental way for him to look at recent times..
"I feel like every time I go to the press room, I understand the questions coming and I feel like we're in a morgue," he said. "Like everyone is looking at me with this blank stare and they ask me depressing questions. And they bring up the Ryder Cup the last time (a singles loss to Sergio Garcia), and we go through Akron (a double bogey on the 18th hole) ... and I leave there like I lost my dog.

"It's golf. I didn't die out there today," he said. "I don't expect anyone to feel sorry for me."

Rory looking dialed in now. Should be a great final day tomorrow. Baffles me why more people don't watch the play-offs... better field than than majors.

Henley and Billy Hotrschel could surprise even McIlroy tomorrow. Delighted not to see Day in the final pairing, painful viewing.

Great to see Rory putting in a 64. He is in brilliant form - just what we want for the Ryder cup.

Those shots on 15 and 16 were sublime; 9 and 10 inches from the hole for birdie. He was so disappointed with his birdie putt on 18 lipping out, you just know his head is in the right place; he just expects to get those now.

Hopefully he can keep it going.

Not sure how you can say that - PGA had invited the top 100 ranked players

But still excellent viewing - Monday moan, sorry....

Definitely not better than the majors, but possibly better than some of the WGC events. And the question of who's going to get through to the next round of the playoffs adds a nice extra dimension.

When you look at the Majors collectively, by the time you eliminate previous winners, sponsors invites, coffin dodgers, a few token Chinese players for foreign interest, you are probably down to the FedEx players then.

My point is that the Play-offs start with the top 125 players in the world assessed by their performance throughout the current entire PGA season and over the course of 4 events, that gets dwindled down to a 30 man shoot off for 10 million dollars.

For majors we have designated threads with running commentary on when Rory last scratched his nose but come play-offs, people just don't seem interested when they really should be.

Monday morning moan also over :D

Top 125 players in the world assessed against their pgatour performance. Not all of the world's top players play on the pgatour.

If you just ignore the fact that the pgachampionship has the club pros, it's the strongest field of any competition.

completely inaccurate. it has nothing at all to do with world rankings.

Playoffs begin with the top 125 players from the PGA tour season over the last 39 weeks. Loads of players in the world top 125 do not even play on the PGA tour, so they cannot compete.

Most obvious example being our own Shane Lowry
