    Jaysus lads I just had some spring rolls from Aldi and they were savage, better than the Chinese, is there anything else I'm missing, I don't go to supermarkets very often

    Pro tip, don't get the ones in Dunnes. They are appalling.

    The ones in Aldi are on par with the Chinese. Glad you enjoyed them. But the ones in Dunnes, seriously governor, no no no. I bought them 4 times thinking I just got a bad batch.

    But nope, just sh!t.

    If you think eating high-fat, high-simple carb, pre-made, frozen and full-of-additives spring rolls is a good idea, then knock yourself out.

    Personally I would make my own Fresh Vietnamese Shrimp rolls using freshly bought ingredients from my local Asian goods store and vegetable market. They taste much better, are much healthier and you won't feel disgusting after, like you do with cheap nasty pre-made food.

    There is so much oil in the spring roll sheet that its essentially being deep fried even when you oven cook them.

    For why, may I ask :confused:

    Are these spring rolls of which you all speak so highly a special at the moment, or regular stock in Aldi? I'd be partial to an auld spring roll every now and then, and if these are very tasty then I'll be heading there very soon!

    Just regular stuff afaik, just never had them previous to tonight, gonna try them Lidl chicken one when I get a chance, sound like perfect Beer food
