Nice heifer but I think she still has a bit of growth in her. I presume you are keeping her as a replacement.

Several years ago I saw some quality Salers in the Garonne region in calf to Blondes.
Personally I prefer the light boned French breeds. Unfortunately we do not get paid for meat to bone ratio in this country, if we did then I would have continued to breed BAx.

Sprayed mine with Grazon last week dont think there will be any jam here! Theyre beginning to take over some of the hedges not having been sprayed for years.

Some more heifers. Some of these are ~ 28-29mths.

The other side of the fence not ours. You may recognise the 'hole in the hedge' from a previous photo earlier in the year. :D

would you pull a chain harrow or something over it when the water goes or does the grass grow through that layer of silt/dirt itself?

She's a right one isn't she? Must check cards but that one's only a young heifer, could be 10 mths younger than some others there. She's a chx sim. It's a great cross l think. Remember the pic of the heifer l posted some years back?

Sometimes I do. This year I didn't. Got a few tankers of slurry in late spring and that's it. This bit is full of silver weed but other bits have loads of clover. Knock good rights out of it for the type of ground it is Ya gotta work with what ya got!
