I am so happy I am not the only one who thinks like this.

Wherever I am I am looking at fields designing a hole in my head, same when walking on the street I am constantly figuring out what club to get to a building and what shot shape would be best.

    I'm Yaya and I am a golfaholic.

Kevin, there are rumours you are a stage 7 - say it ain't so - I hear a part of your lower anatomy starts to go round with dimples

Yea, been thinking it was times to get my balls branded.

When we start up our clinic to help people.

There will obviously be a putting green out the back.

What level is it when you read other addicts posts and say.... Jez he doesn't have it bad at all :)
    :(

I have to go to a golf course to stop thinking about the bloody thing!!!

Forgot one....moved house last year and golf was a major factor in choice.

How was garden for chipping practice ?

Was there anywhere indoors allowing a full swing ?

We had two kinds of house....1 had a garage with a v shaped roof so perfect for an indoor practice area. The other had a small garage with no chance to create one.

Broke my heart to buy the latter even though it was a far far far superior house :(:D

    Stage 3

Is it wrong that I'm disappointed?

I am thinking of carpeting a room in the house just to putt on! Wooden floors throughout.

no - you should be happy.

Stage 3 - is a time of love and peace. You are at one with your self and the game - all your balls are in play.

Rough times start at 4 and get worse at 5 - you lie at 5 and question why your kids graduation at 5 years of age is that important.

At stage 6 - my daughter cutiest little thing ever pointed at the golf on tv - she said - Daddy there is your work :o:p:D

Stage 6 , your dad says "how are you and the wife getting on"

Don't go there - we can help.

Stop will ya. Ever see that film True Lies ? Only 5% of my golf is on show. The rest is treated like being in the CIA :D

I got a text from my wife a few weeks back.
She wanted to know if I wanted a cup of tea.

She was sitting beside me at the time....

I was watching the EuroPro tour on TV and on boards on the phone...... She had asked me a minute before but I was in golf mood and hadn't heard her :(

"No, I'll make it" I said

(Putting mat in kitchen, normally sink a few before the kettle is boiled)

I’m addicted, each time I go to the bathroom after washing my hands I watch myself in the mirror perform imaginary, face on and down the line practice swings. Indeed if I see a mirror anywhere I’m in it practicing.

I convinced my partner to buy our first house mainly because it was 2 mins to the course...I have since moved and am now 15....its not easy, but I think I'm starting to cope.

Luckily work is 10 mins away so I get my fix in that way.

Better than getting caught in the empty canteen in work practicing :).... Was practicing a drill where you stand near a wall and try to get your left arse cheek to brush the wall on the follow through.

I was checking out my arse when the laughter started... The lads had seen the whole swing... Which given my finishing position... Was a good thing.

Another lad I worked with (smoke break colleague) eventually asked me (on a work night out, as booze helps these things) if I had a nervous problem or some "condition".

"You rock from side to side quite a bit when we're smoking"

How else am I meant to practice my weight transfer.........

I did this one night, but I hit the bloody child's toilet trainer seat hanging from the door on my imaginary back swing - it crashed to floor and woke the kids up! Wife screams "what happened?" - I said "no idea- you must not have hung it up properly!!"

Oh ya.....practicing my takeaway with another boardie at 1:30am after a feed of pints. One of us nearly taking the mirror off the wall :D

Did you give her the Red Greb.

    Joking .

Enjoying the posts my fellow stage 6 man.

Think alx PARlance and a few others are almost stage 6.

You have to jump in a smelly van and play every course , or a similar extreme action to be a 7

Hoping to get back to 3 with help.

Jaysus, I completely forgot about converting my back garden from grass to artificial grass plus putting green- the grass was put in so the kids could play and to have a no maintenance garden....ahem!

It was funded from my wife's redundancy money.

I meet strangers in petrol stations from online to play golf.
    It scares me and excites.

    I haven't told my friends.

    "Who are you meeting"
    "A bloke for golf"
    "Who is he"
"I don't know his real name"
    "What"
    "Nice car that"

I think I qualify because I have spent more time on the golf course this summer than I have spent doing my masters thesis which is due 2 wks today. I am hoping for solid rain until its done but not until after the exchange day with Tralee on Sunday :)

Took a second weeks holidays after last week's foreign family holiday "to get a few bits around the house done in peace and quiet".
Golf all week and nothing done. Simmering nicely here.

My wife asked who I was meeting.... Eh the room wrecker? Or eh road runner?

Hi I'm benny Im 35 and a addict!

I realized my problem when I started getting up a 6 AM to play golf on days off.
Going on a golfing holiday with a load of 55+ year old's when I was 30.

Getting upset if I'm not playing the weekend even if I'm going away with the Misses.

Spending vasts amount of money on golf stuff.

Watching golf for 4 days solid when the Majors etc are on.

Not having sex with the misses the Nite before a round :) Which I still do, she thinks its hilarious!
If I could thank this twice I would. Not having sex the night before is absolutely hilarious.
