Met a neighbour today...wife and kids in France to leave him home alone for 3 weeks...all I could think was "bastard, the amount of golf I would play if that was me" as he told me how he missed them :D

My little one got hurt today. In hospital all day and turns out she has a possible hip fracture and needs to see a specialist in our ladies tomorrow. She's not even 2 yet.

Absolute disaster and all I could think about talking to the doctor was im suppose to play around tomorrow

    Forget about whoever she is.
You should be thinking of your golf.

Ha no idea how it happened. Arrived home from a night shift and she had got up from bed dragging her leg around behind her. Strange one.

    Grandfather 1: Kevin
    Grandfather 2: Joe

I might get away with this I thought.

Wife "we're not naming our first son after KJ fn Choi"

Turns out she has gained a fair knowledge of golfers throughout the years

Saw the lad with the baby in driving range again.
    This time 2 babies.
The poor lad nearly having a heart attack . With toddler crawling into next bay as lad was swinging driver.
Then the other lad start eating the stones.

    Funny ****.

I was thinking could i place a baby just outside plane line and this would force me not to hit child and get inside to out.

The only way i couldn't go ott is the baby routine.

    Genius idea.

    :-)

Im an addict ..I need Help

    - I plan holidays around my clubs fixture list.
    - I have played golf after working night shift and being away at least 20 hours, I also often get up hours earlier to ensure I don't sleep out, and suffer from some sort of golf insomnia the night before a big competition.

For my wedding, my wife wanted to name the tables:

Me: "How about calling them after flowers, Holly, Azalea, Golden Bell?"
Wife: " ssbob, can we just have one day where we don't think about golf?"

I thought I was being really clever and that it would cater for golfers and non-golfers alike:D:D

She was having none of it :mad::mad::mad:

    Was thinking about golf.

Perfect day on east coast - sun rising . Life starting again for normal people not inflicted with the daily suffering.

A sudden post night shift rush to hit course.

The birds are singing at 10 th.

Lol . Two way street Dealerzs.

But agree one of the best.

Told her recently that the lads think she is a legend.
she said that is because their wives bitch and moan at them.

To cure this addiction. You need all your family on board.

Do we now start grading our wives on their level of addiction support......eh maybe not a good idea!

I bought my Grandson a set of Children''s Golf Clubs, He's only 18 Months.

Wife and Daughter think I'm mental. But you have to start them early.

WE ARE currently expecting our first child, and as the days continue with the baby overdue, I'm finding the frustration is not so much with the baby not arriving, but that I'm trying to organise a short game lesson and putting lessons on the week off I have for paternity leave.

I am pretty sure I have met you and this cannot be possible:eek:

If you are a lady I apologise and believe you would be level 7 addicted, given the fact that a couple of hours after labour you want to do a short game lesson :D

I'm currently on my honeymoon. Yet I'm reading this thread and have managed to get a game of golf in and watch all the PGA. The first time I stepped on the beach I thought the sand would be tough to get out of. For the second leg we are heading to NY and all I can think of is how much golfing gear I can get!!

STILL waiting on our baby to pop. Have missed two weekends of golf, barely any practice as we are on constant standby.

Watching the calendar as the Club championship and captains day looms. Genuine feelings of annoyance.

On the plus side, other half being induced Wednesday, so was able to fix my days of with work including two weeks of half days. Although the girlfriend thinks I have to "come into office all day Tuesday because of system upgrades" I'm shooting off after my half day to do that lesson mentioned previously!

Addiction coupled with the arsehole tendancy!

Got my putter back with a super stroke grip. Was watching Heat on Saturday night on the couch, and girlfriend had a little freaker telling me to stop swinging the ****ing putter. I remember picking the club up messing in the sitting room, but I didn't recall me spending the first hour just having it in my hands rocking it back and forth while I was watching the film.

What started as a good laugh thread, just went next level serious when I read back the above :'(

TheDoc has gone stage seven or third trimester.

    Someone help.

    Please think of the children.

My weekend consisted of one game of golf, 12 hours of watching PGA, and practise drills on the terrace for at least 3 hours.

Two weeks ago when my wife was admitted to the hospital I was noticeably annoyed that they were checking her in so slowly as I was going to miss my weekly comp at Par 3 course. In fairness to me it was just for observation.

I am also addicted to browsing web for gadgets or new clubs that I have no chance of being able to afford.

For addicts - the weather doesn't matter - but good news :)

    http://www.yr.no/place/Ireland/Leinster/Dublin/long.html

And this is obviously a joke. :P:D:D

    The Addict

The good news all - get the clubs clean.
Get, the kids out of the house - not to be seen.
Get the grass cut - the work desk clear.
Time off toil - a few cans of beer.

Clean socks and jocks, read the golf mag.
The old banana skin out, of the smelly golf bag
The GPS /Laser charged and aligned ;)
The Rottella books on, all in the mind

Get the sun cream on, the glasses cleaned.
The short trouser ironed - perfectly seamed.
The last days of summer - soon to be here.
Plenty more days of golf without fear.

This summer of golf, of sea and sun.
Almost the last hole, almost done.
Wind burn and ice, a Low from the Artic.
Summer golfers “poof” – a time for the addict.
