Have a quick question and didn't really think it deserved a thread.
I'm looking at a Peugeot 306 d-turbo on done deal. Rang the seller and he said that the only problem with the car is that the radiator was replaced but a stop light on the dash is still coming up. He said that there is no overheating issues and the radiator/car is running perfectly. Is this common or what's the reason for it? Or should I just run a mile? Thanks

It sure is, thats the third set I have ordered(all from different sources) that something has gone wrong. The local option is these which are cool but look so damn low I would worry about cracking them.

oh yeah I am not denying that:D They are origin lab which are a copy of Vertex, the vertex ones are perfect as they are slightly smaller but the same design but I can't find anywhere in Europe that has Vertex. I am trying to photoshop them onto my car to see what they look like with my ride height and I will do some measurements also before making a decision.

You can say goodbye to clonk clonk clonk. Next step the uppers which allow adjustable camber...?

There was no clonk, the handling had just gotten tired (if you know what I mean) the uppers are all new so they will have to wait till next time.

Although I can't see me ever paying someone for 4 hours to set up bushings for me!

There's a lad local doing it out parts, it who I'll be going to for my Mazda's aero bits, not sure if he does chasers or the name right now but I'll think of it.
    Driving me mad!

There's really decent guys in Carlow...agree a price with them beforehand...you always should when it comes to alfas. yep I know what you mean. Drove a rotten 156 v6 back from Clare that had them and polybushes fitted, it was the best one I'd ever drove, until I sorted my own out. Couldn't get over the amount of silicone hiding the rotten gaps. It was bought as a donor though so no loss in that regards.

My little A-class has it's NCT tomorrow, but unfortunately I won't be bringing it. I honestly don't know how it'll fare.
I'm getting rid of it afterwards, but it'd sure be easier with an NCT til next year.

You will be grand man. Mine had 2 well ropey bushings on the front, the back brakes were hanging out of it and it was 800km overdue a service!

It only failed on a broken spring I didn't even know about:)

    What's next Dord?

    One of these.

    Fiat%20Panda%20%283%29.jpg

Bit boring I know, but Mrs. Dord is going to be doing her driving test so I said I'll pick up something cheap and easy to drive. If I have space next year I'll get a nice older car for myself. :pac:

Nothing major up with it, but you never know what they would find. Gave it the usual pre-NCT italian tune-up so the emmissions should be good. :pac: :D

Your criteria was "cheap and easy to drive" so keep that in your head and don't think about anything else :P

I hate seen cyclists on motorways or major dual carriageways.

I don't agree with them being on the n7 either after newlands cross. But there is no law against that!

And it's not that they shouldn't be allowed on the road it's the volume of traffic that worries me.

I have even witnessed a few pedestrians walking on the m7.

There's a lunatic at the Blanch exit on the southbound M50 who gets picked up on the hard shoulder every morning.

Almost, but the economy (50's vs 30's mpg) on the Panda is better and things like servicing and repair should be cheaper. Also, it'd be newer and I have yet to see any with the bodywork issues that Mercs have.

But, I tell myself... at least it's not a Yaris. (sorry FHN)
