And it'd probably have more problems than a maths book ;)

If it's a car you really like, then it makes solving them easier. :)

MK4 GTI is something I definitely wouldn't mind owning.

I'd have a MK1 Focus ST over a MK4 Golf GTi. The MK4 GTi is a great car and its mad how cheap some are now.

Funnily enough, I have never had a Golf hatchback; I have had 3 cabriolets and an turbo estate, no hatchbacks though.

If I were having any mark 4 golf again, I'd want an R32.
Would have to commercialize it or move to the north though, as not a hope I'm paying the top rate of CC tax on only a 3.2

Anyone have any idea why a Landy Disco 2 would have ZV plates? Is it just a body on an older chassis?

See the "elephant in the room" thread in the classic car forum ;)

    But essentially, yes.
Because we tie the reg plate to the chassis, there are some who take advantage of this for "de cheep tax" by doing exactly what you said above. I've even seen some at classic shows.

I find it makes it worse. I was perfectly happy to hammer and screw and wrench away at the couple before we were rid of it because I had no love for it. Every issue that crops up with GTI drives me batty because I've babied the **** out of it and it feels like you're getting screwed for no reason. And I'm just not as gunho about fiddling around.

You also think everything is an issue. I once went 10 minutes thinking my turbo was ****ed because I had the passenger window open a tiny bit and it made a mad noise when I accelerated so drove like a nun till I got home.

Yet I drove the coupe with a ****ed engine mount, handbrake cable and cat daily for 3 months.

Tell me about it! It seems that the more I baby a car, the more "issues" that arise!

After I had both turbos replaced, I was convinced that one of them was gone again as I was hearing a sound very similar to what was always there. Turns out it was the HVAP or whatever it's called mixed with BOV releasing pressure or something like that!

Is it a thing where you can't get it from abroad due to shipping restrictions?

Proper order too. It makes perfect sense, however the money should ideally be ring-fenced for medical care resulting from them.

I'd low to see that in Ireland, I'm sick of coughing up a tonne of diesel smoke Everytime I cycle or walk through a city.

Dublin bus need to sort out their fleet.
Hybrid petrol or electric busses need I happen soon, no more noisy, stinking diesel.

I can see everyone who bought a diesel recently for low emissions reasons going mad over this. "I bought it due to it's "lower pollution" credentials but now I'm to believe I was sold a lie" :pac:

    Probably does make sense!
    But.....

That's what Dpf's are supposed to be for. (But mine regularly starts it's cycle coming into towns:eek:)

They would have to admit they were wrong to encourage everybody to buy the bloody yokes in the first place.

Try Paris sometime, Dublin is rainbows and bunny tears in comparison:pac:
You regularly see signs on the peripherique saying "close windows, pollution warning"

I 100% agree about Dublin bus! nothing worse than getting a face full from one of those dirty yokes.

Manila is where its at, with straight piped jeepneys, a wide variety of cars (some very exotic to wildly done up to unrestored daily drivers and all nations embraced) and pollution/nanny state-ism means absolutely nothing :D

    That's bliss to me

I think it's more the angle of the pic that makes it look strange more than anything.
