Got my roof spoiler, officially the fastest I have ever received something from Japan, just 3 working days.

I forgot the A6 Avant in that list! Probably between the V70 and 9-5.

    No Lancer or Passat estates?

    39.7 :)

    22.2 :pac:

Something's wrong with my accelerator pedal, it's welded to the floor :D

Although a record was set the other day with 34.1 MPG!

Still not quite the 45.1 MPG that I got from a diesel Volvo :D

The girlfriend can manage 42, I can just dip into the 40's.
    S14 does a calculated 6-9MPG on track :D

In fairness if I owned a 530d, I'd be happy with 35mpg with regular driving.

I had a loan of a corolla verso (1.6) during the week, it cost me €40 to do 200Km:eek:
And I wasn't even driving it on, there was no point!

    Bora does about 35-40 MPG.

About €10/€11 for 100 KM outside of city/town driving.

There's a reason Cyclist's & Pedestrian's on the motorway are referred to as Organ Donors.

There was a car facing the wrong way, in the hard shoulder, just before the Estuary bridge, around 07.20 this morning. Not far away from a truck (thankfully pointing the right way) also in the hard shoulder.

Wonder how that car got out from there?

Don't they claim in the Uk that the life expectancy of anyone in the hard shoulder is 10 mins - or something like that

Feel sorry for the relatives etc but that's totally his own fault, why was he on the motorway at all ??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,880 ✭✭✭Kaiser D

I'm interested to know how the collision occurred. I presume he was on the hard shoulder, or rather I hope he was.

But sure he shouldnt have been on the motorway at all?

    That is really sad news.
I hate seen cyclists on motorways or major dual carriageways.

I don't agree with them being on the n7 either after newlands cross. But there is no law against that!

And it's not that they shouldn't be allowed on the road it's the volume of traffic that worries me.

I have even witnessed a few pedestrians walking on the m7.

Should have been in the inside lane - would have had it all to himself on that stretch.

I know, but I hoped he would have some degree of sense to stay out of the lanes.

What is it with my bad luck when it comes to sideskirts,
first the ones on my car get stolen on its way from Japan, then I find some on ebay but the truck carrying them gets in an accident and they get broken, now the place I am buying from just told me the warehouse mislabeled the sideskirts I wanted and they dont have them.

    I've got

    Average mpg
    Average speed per journey
    An alarm
    Cabin temp
    Exterior temp
    Clock
    Distance till empty
    Average distance
    Actual distance

My Audi A4 has developed a coolant temp needle that goes up and down more times than a whore's knickers. :pac:

I looked up the licence plate and it appears to be 2.3

Weird... I was so sure I saw this badge on it.
