Pssh, lowest I got was around 17, and the highest 47. :pac: The former was due to a problem, and the latter from changing my driving style. Until I got the Scangauge I was averaging around 30. It's helped me get to the nearest garage a few times. Great knowing how many litres you have left.

(sounding like a total douche here, more so than usual :P )

I have an option in the computer in mine that give a rough calculation of how many miles you have left from the tank depending on your driving style, it does me fine :)

It's amazing, I've something like 8 options on it, half of which are totally pointless, but none the less cool :D

Have that on the golf too. It is constantly changing passed on how your driving and all that handy to have I suppose. Specially if your found of driving around on the fuel light which for some reason a lot of irish people are. I don't get that at all I just fill up when I get to 1/4 or so.

Well la de da! :p Scangauge has that also. Actually this Merc has feck all in the way of gauges, and from the looks of it, the prospective new car is the same. Some of those Pandas don't even have rev counters. :D

Its a funny thing on mine, the "more economical" you drive, the quicker it goes down, say at 100/110 kph, but if you fly along, 130/140kph, it barely changes

    Eh what?

OHs 2000 merc has mpg on current journey, range of tank, it updates constantly, and it's about six other options, it's quite cool.

It's very useful on long trips

    I've got

    Average mpg
    Average speed per journey
    An alarm
    Cabin temp
    Exterior temp
    Clock
    Distance till empty
    Average distance
    Actual distance

The merc has all of those.

The alarm is usually about defective bits

It also has a service countdown thing

I tend only to look at the range, the rest of it would make your eyes bleed

I hate the alarm on mine, I relate it to everything critical on the car, which can go bad haha

On the merc, it regularly bleats about the esp one day, then shuts up for about a month.

THis is due to me hitting the esp button instead of the open the passenger window button.

Used give the OH a heart attack :D

The worst one in mine is, the low oil pressure warning sound is the same as the low washer fluid, scares the life out of me every single time, flying along the road and next thing it goes off, my first thought, ah crap!!...oh wait, damn :pac:

Thankfully there are no sounds on the merc, just flashing warnings.

Sounds would give him a heart attack :)

In other news, I'm loving my car after it's mega service, still a couple of niggles to sort out, but no plans to change anytime soon.

And mega thanks to the other alfisti on here who have helped out :)
