Lim bull out of a black white head cow born the end of March. Not the fanciest calf in the world but it just shows you the difference that plenty of milk makes. Have calves out of lim cows born the same time and while they are nicer calves they are a good bit behind in weight.

No bought her as a springer of a lad Near Kinegad (not sure if I can name names here)

Basically it was a swap after the first heifer I bought off him went mental on me

I know the herd. He has some super stock over there.

Have you a few young calves there aswell? have 3 June calves here out of good young cows but I hate cows calving in June. Don't rightly know what to do with the calves or the cows. Be grand if I could put them into a shed in October and wean them at Christmas but don't have the option.

Took the pictures a while back. There is a few young ones in there (early May) One was from a heifer that would not take ai but took the bull first go and another one is a cow with twins. Probably took those pictures in May. (meant to post them earlier)

Sh I just spotted one young looking red lad in the background :D I'd be happy if the were all calved the middle of May, June calves never seem to reach their potential with us for some reason :(

2 year old lim heifer I bought as a weanling off a neighbour fairly right. Out of a sim cow and a Malibu stock bull, wish I had a few more like her. The pick of our heifer calves this year in the second pic, out of a 3 year old lim x sim springer that isint much to look at to be honest. Could do with a bit more length but a powerful calf all the same. Wouldn't mind a few more like her either!

I like the 2 yo heifer. Is she in calf?

I noticed before the odd Lim heifer don't look that long when they've plenty of width, but they stretch out as the grow.

I hope she is anyway! I didn't see her bulling but she's been with the bull since the start of May so she should be . Didn't do either of them much justice in the pic, the 2yo heifer looks a lot bigger in the flesh, the auld lad wanted me to sell her a few months back because she was ''too good to breed''...did you ever hear the bate of that before? Time will tell for the calf I spose, serious width in her considering how much lim breeding is in her! She's quiet anyway which can't be said for all the rest of the calves. Rear view from a few months back.

I've no doubt she'll make a proper cow.

The first memory I have of blues is indeed EWN. Enfield had him. If I recall correctly there were two blues in the catalogue that year. Elwin and for the life of me I can't remember the other lad. It'll come to me!
