    Hi.

Is there a podcast st app that you can download the podcasts to the external SD card instead of the limited internal phone storage?

    Cheers.

    Pocketcasts give you this option.

    Hi Lucas. Any free alternative?

Soccer stars by miniclip is a decent game. Basically it's 5-a-side air hockey against human opponents.

All RTÉ apps seem to brutal for streaming, have issues streaming their radio on TuneIn too, and it's never a connection problem (Newstalk will work fine in same settings). Fierce annoying.
RTE is a piece of ****, couldnt manage to stream 15 minutes of the World Cup on it, just error after error, watched about 6 matches on FilmOn without a single issue.

Player FM will allow you to save to the SD card as well.

What's a 'virtual podcast'? I've seen that option in a few podcast apps.

    Edit: This explains it: http://www.beyondpod.com/Android/help/VirtualFeeds.htm

I fully recommend a game called Tiny Thief. Had it sitting on my phone for ages now and just didn't have a chance to try it, which was a mistake as it is a nice little puzzler.

Just installed Hola. It's a free VPN app and is very easy to use. I tried it out on Netflix and it works fine for the US content.

For anyone with low space issues, link2sd (or plus to unlock all options and move everything) and the above tutorial is a great help.

Basically you wipe your SD card and reparation it, then you link files from your internal memory to the smaller partition and keep the larger one for pictures/music etc.

I done it and ended up with loads of free space and i have all my apps on my internal memory,I don't need to move any to my SD card.

I heard about this app last night for the first time, installed it on my Chromebook and it worked fine but it wouldn't work on my phone (nexus).well I was trying to access BBC iPlayer, does that work through the phone app?
Is there just the one version on play store, maybe I downloaded the wrong one?

Yes it works. Which is why I posted it on the thread. (Used it on a Galaxy Note 10.1).

On US Netflix there's the new Star Trek and some other newer movies.

I messed around with tying to get the BBC iPlayer but that doesn't appear on my store even when I'm using Hola. Didn't investigate too hard though.

Got it when amazon had it as a free app of the day, I have yet to download and play it.

    Best app to download music?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,421 ✭✭✭griffdaddy

Dialapp is pretty awesome. If you have a nexus it does it already by default but basically you can type the name of a business directly in the dialer and it brings up the number ready to call. I have it set up with nova launcher so my regular phone app is on the home screen but if I flick up it launches Dialapp. Extremely handy for ringing takeaways, work contacts etc.

Doesn't that work by default on stock dialler (note3 here)?

If I go to dial 'Mick' for example, I simply start tapping in 6,4, 2, 5 and a selection of Mick's/or numbers that have that sequence of numbers in it, eg, 08-6425 etc comes up.
