How does CM compare to Dolphin? Dolphin with the jetpack enabled is already lightning quick compared to chrome and has add-ons, adblock, Lastpass etc

Yes, look around the bookmarks section - you can import from Chrome. It didn't keep my bookmark folder structure, so be warned if you have lots of nicely organised bookmarks.

Not for Nexus 7 either. It's designed for phones presumably.

CM looks nice. I use Javelin browser as well. It has a built in adblocker.

Yeah its a cracking browser.just installed it on my phone.hopefully future updates will allow me to install it on my nexus tablets.

Google don't really give chrome on Android much attention, it could be a lot better. Chrome is crap when you compare it to dolphin which has add-ons, adblock and flash. Dolphin is also much faster than chrome

Well you dont need to change, use both and see which you prefer.

I reckon if you guys downloaded the apk file for CM broswer you could get it working on your tablets.

Anyone ever use the Chrome Beta on Android?

It has this killer feature that will save you 20% on data usage,
Although i restored my phone lately and this time round its saved 53% on data usage so far.

It basically downloads a compressed version of the website you go to from Googles own servers.

If youre not on an unlimited data package this could be very handy.

You enable it by going into settings and scrolling down to Bandwidth Management.

You could give out about google knowing every website your on, but sure they probably know that anyway by using the normal chrome!

Yes, it's improved since they made it the default browser, but it's still poor, they need to at least allow addons and let the community code for it like the desktop version. I suppose they will at some stage.

I was using CM browser for nearly a week now, purely for viewing the touch webapp for Facebook, nothing else. All good til this evening, when trying to switch from top stories to most recent sorting seemed to crash the app. It would only work on top stories, and trying to go to most recent kept on giving the "no Internet connection, try again later" error. It was switching between the views no problem until today.
