La Stampa's @MaxNerozzi says that in the house of #Vidal in Torino, they are apparently already planning the move (saying the neighbors)..

L'equipe are reporting that at long last FFP is putting PSG's spending on hold. They can't sign Di Maria or anyone else without selling first. So much for them saying they can do what they want.

Pastore, Lavezzi, Lucas, Verratti & Cavani mentioned as the players that could be up for sale.

Would take all of them bar Cavani and maybe Pastore. Verratti is the dream signing for me now that Kroos is off the table.

The only negative I can see in Van Gaal is he will be 72 in ten years time so will hardly be managing united. Prob get 5 good years out of him

He must be injured but Powell probably wouldn't be allowed into the US right now anyway!

I imagine Powell might be loaned to the likes of Hull or that this year, if we bring in another midfielder.

Van Gaal is a very fresh 62 yr old and to be honest not often managers stay 10 years anymore

The squad looking very professional on Santa Monica.Memories of the Fergie era where players were expected to give a top impression of United when on club business.

To think, Rooney paid over £30,000 to have a hair cut like that.

I actually feel sorry for the poor guy.

    :(

would have expected some of them on the senior tour, especially when we have f*ck all cover at full backs - Thorpe deserves a call up to and would have been expectinv Pereira, Petrucci and Lawrence to have bigger things for them planned this summer as opposed to being held in reserve.

    is Wilson still injured?

just a theory here, is it possible that all the Vidal talk is coming from the player and/or his agent as he wants the move?

or an other way of looking at is simple - Moyes and co went to see him (or more to the point Juve) play a few times last year and during these trips some initial ground work was done, but now perhaps LVG isnt too keen, hence the talk of United having no interest at the moment is doing the rounds.

Honey opinion: ground work was done months ago. Probably behind conte's back. I think he'll be a united player very soon.
The only thing that remains is probably an agreement between both clubs for the fee.
Wouldn't be surprised if he's announced ou of the blue in about ten days time.

Would love if Zaha got his ego in check. Thought he played very well on the pre-season tour last season. Maybe LvG can sort him out and get him in to the team. Hope Lingard gets a shot too. Super player.

At least Zaha put a suit on this pre season....

LIngard has an eye for goal but i think his first touch and passing is not great.

TC23 to have a great pre-season and once more fill us with optimism only to disappoint us for the proceeding 9 months.

Himself and Anderson usually get it together for these 3 weeks but I guess Tom will have to do it on his own this time.

As someone said earlier, a midfield trio of Herrera, De Jong, and Vidal is probably the best possible scenario from this transfer window.

Signing De Jong doesn't mean the Vidal deal is dead it just means we can allow Vidal to be the all action midfielder he should be with De Jong behind him.

The Vidal deal will probably go all the way to the last day. Seems like all parties want it without being able to say it.

Ducker saying that Anderson may not have an injury and didn't go on the tour due to a desire to have him sold.

Not a major surprise really particularly after they sent him on loan in January.

Fergie and Moyes couldn't get any good of him,Van Gaal isn't even gonna waste his time trying.

It would have been quicker to list the people he hasn't had a bust up with!

RVP's story is pretty interesting, even more respect for him & LVG after reading that.

Stumbled upon this interesting article. £25 million for McCarthy worth it? I doubt it to be honest.

How do you think this kind of thing will go down with the current crop of players?:

"In one training camp the Dutch coach was unhappy with Toni's manners when the team assembled for meetings and meals. One day Toni, a tall man, was slouching on his chair during dinner, as if he were watching TV on a sofa. Van Gaal went behind Toni's chair and pulled his ears to make him sit up straight."

Just in case anyone is heading to the Bray match tomorrow:

TRAVEL NOTICE :Anyone travelling to Bray for the game against the Manchester XI tomorrow should be advised that the traffic coming into Bray tomorrow will be manic. It is the BIG day of the Summerfest with the Airshow so if possible use the Dart or else give yourself plenty of excess time to be in the Ground before kick off. The game has a 2.15 start time.
Roads around the Ground are to be closed from 12pm. Some tickets for the game will be on sale at the Ground from early morning.
