Great stuff, this should bring out the worst in the posters in the pro GB camp.

Lets see how this plays out on boards

Well I only have a ticket for Monday and for Tuesday, because I sat and got online messages until 3 AM when the 1st shows sold out in 1 1/2 hours.

Why didn't you get tickets for the Sunday that have been available for the last several weeks?
And how do you have any idea what his expenses are. Calling him a massive baby. I'm sure you'll gladly sell me a ticket at face value to either Friday or Sunday if only 3 shows happen. It's the only right thing, feeling as you do. Should I be left out while you see him twice?
I don't know the expenses no, but for someone who's "for the fans", making slightly less profit shouldn't matter.
No, why would I sell you a ticket because you didn't bother buying one?
Or I guess it's just my tough luck that the rules are the rules, and Garth is being a massive baby. And that I was not in Ireland to queue for several days when the initial dates were

No, it's bad luck that the Monday and Tuesday won't happen, it's Garths fault if the other days don't. And I didn't queue for days, it's 2014.

In light of the most recent breaking news, ie the legal action for an injunction on ALL concerts, if I were Garth Brooks I'd arrive in my private helicopter and piss on Croke Park from the air.

I'm calling this the last word. I don't think we have to wait until Thursday to know the outcome.

The fools, the fools, they've really done it! As the camera pans away we see the remains of a stadium half burried in the sand and Charlton Heston banging his fist on the beach, where once a magnificent city stood.

    Bloody splitters!

I thought they were all one group and then a group went rogue and decided they wanted the concerts. But no, I've since found out there are a few. It's gas!

Your post is like something off Sky Sports News :pac:

Could we get the Garda Helicopter to moniter it's movements. I mean if the US authorities could track the Russian ships at the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis we should do similar given the very serious nature of this matter

George Hook had his usual American slot this evening and asked his correspondent how the story was going down over there. He said they don't even talk about Garth Brooks over there anymore, never mind what's happening with him in another country.

Bloody scaremongering - pity the vintners aren't willing to take one for the country instead.

Never underestimate the power of publicans. These are the boys that got the pubs open in Limerick on Good Friday for the Heineken cup

A few things, firstly the US failed to monitor CCCP ships, hence the actual deployment of missiles in Cuba in the first place, the US then set up a blockade and threatened to sink any Russian Ship breaking it.

The Garda Helicopter is not suitably equipped for that role, but the Irish Air Corps have CASA aircraft designed to do just that.

We can also just search the ships name in an online AIS monitoring service and get it's route, but no cargo information.

George hook clearly doesn't have access to the unpublished trade magazines. We're a joke everywhere.*

Indo are at it too. Apparently Miriam O'Callaghan says one of his songs reminds her of her late sister.

    genuinely??

And got the cafe bar legislation nixed.

If they think they can sell a few extra pints or make more money on the ones they're already selling, they'll be protesting on the front lines

Maybe SF could send out Martin Ferris in a trawler to escort it in. He has plenty experience on the Atlantic.

That's the Drumcondra Residents Association (DRA) you're thinking of. Not the Residents Associatiion of Druncondra (RAD)

Politicians jumping through hoops to try to accomodate a has been country and western performer, Jaysus it's embarassing. Fcuk him, let him off, he got an additional gig but he's so greedy he wants 5 or he won't perform. Anyone stupid enough to have bought a ticket to see someone who treats their fans with such clear contempt deserves what they get imo.

According to the report on Six-One, the ball's firmly back in GB's court (presuming court case goes nowhere and he can still play the 3).

Aside from releasing some new covers last December, he has not put out ANY new material since he retired to raise his daughters 15 years ago. He also has not toured in that period, and in the music industry, you don't get a lot of press when all you're doing is a few weekends in Las Vegas for a few years.

Another Garth Brooks hater with nothing better to do.

Git outa dat. An SF possibly being the next government. We'll probably borrow David Cameron's new ship for a few weeks an sort it all out.

They were saying on Newstalk this morning that the containers, 32 of them, had arrived in Antwerp.

Mind you they also said that Antwerp was in Germany, so who knows.

It was said in the Six-One report as well that they are still in the States but under started orders awaiting the order to go.

Official, you're thinking of the continuity association of residents in drumcondra (CARD)

Go before the council and simply say....approve the concerts, or be prepared for riots around Croke Park in July.
Looks like you are avoiding my question.
For the third time, do you think Garth Brooks fans will riot if he doesn't get a licence for all 5 shows or were you being a keyboard warrior?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

I think that the SoCal MusicLover is a keyboard warrior.

Much has been made of the fact that the DCC decision cannot be appealed. What is the point, therefore, in seeking an injunction? Oh, I see now - KER CHING! It's a grubby attempt to get money out of the promoter or artist, doesn't matter which, as long as someone comes up with the moolah to buy off the injunction proceedings. As usual when Irish people resort to the courts - it's all about the money.
And Aiken may yet come to regret his brinkmanship in advising Brooks to go the "five concerts or none" route. If DCC doesn't blink somebody is likely to end up with egg on their face.

It was reported the ship left the states on july 1st.
