Will he get more than a Paddy because he's foreign, or because hes a pervert?

Nothing against anyone foreign that's here to work but isn't it obvious he's only here for the generous welfare handouts, like who in the f**k is going to hire him?

I've been in the welfare office handing in dockets on many occasions and a little bit of easedropping in the queues and you can get all the information you need,,some know how to work the system to their benefit, and in turn gain things that Irish people have to slave for. I'll tell you some live better than any working stiff, Irish or non Irish.

Pissed me off immediately reading this, may as well be importing unrehabilitated criminals.

If he has serious convictions or is threat to society, he should automatically lose his foreign travel privilages, we have enough of a problem with our own criminals never mind taking in new ones.

F**ker will get full dole and housing benefits etc, too if he decides to settle, more than what a down on their luck Irish person would get.

    Absolute bulls**t!

yeah and free cars and mobile phones and child benefit and and and... lets make up more sh1t about welfare.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

You cant just fly into Ireland and sign on.

Clearly your nosiness is leading you to make completely wrong misinformed assumptions.

Maybe read about the Habitual Residence Condition before making any more ridiculously wrong comments.

The habitual residence condition isn't difficult for EU nationals to satisfy. While it's all very well calling people out on the more ridiculous claims, there's no point ignoring the fact our social welfare system is both generous and widely abused.

Habitual residency is 2 years, no? Why would it be easier for an EU citizen to satisfy?

I'm pretty sure there are EU rules which over rule social welfare rules when it comes to migrant workers.

Migrant workers? Or EU workers? Or migrant EU workers? Not getting on your case, just curious.

I have said it before and I will say it again, We need some mob justice here. There are way to many cases of people hurting and abusing young children and nothing is done about it. These kids cant fight back for themselves, so let someone do that for them.

I would happily take a hammer to this guys face, but to even the odds I would let him have the first swing at me.

"Mob justice" is an oxymoron. Carried out by morons.

Oh ffs - the HRC applies to residents as well -
where is the evidence of widespread abuse?

Would you say the same thing if this chap was after riding your child? You are aware that this is what this guy travels the world for?

Where is the evidence of that?

He is in holidays here. That's he only fact you currently know.

    Convicted for abducting children.
    Barred from the U.S.
    Barred from the U.K.
    On an international watch list.
    Mentally unstable.

    Yeah, holidays. Right.

    Factually incorrect.
He was convicted of attempting to abduct 1 child, not as you adduce "convicted of abducting children".
He has no convictions at all for actual child abuse.
This whole story is overblown hysterical hype, the like of which we have not seen since we started abducting Roma kids on their parents, because we didn't like the colour of their hair!

So when you're shown to be specifically wrong, you make reference to some vague nonsense, showing you clearly haven't a leg to stand on.

Why not type "I was wrong", learn, and move on.

That is one of the dumbest things i've read on here.
You are making it out that because he "attempted" to abuct a child... well thats ok. It's not like he did it

Mate we are talking about messing around with kids here. It's a serious thing. If someone attempts it, it means there is something not right about them and shouldn't be around kids.

    I never said it didn't.

Well there's half a billion for you.

You automatically are habitually resident if here for 2 years but you can still be considered habitually resident if you are here less than that depending on other circumstances, the main one of which is the right to reside in the country, a right which is automatically granted to workers traveling between EU states.

I'm not sure if you are attacking the right poster there. I only made one previous post in relation to it. And there was only one question asked between my two posts. In any case, I don't believe I am wrong. I believe you are misunderstanding the legislation. The legislation states that you aren't considered habitually resident unless you are here two years unless you can show that you are habitually resident in another way. So while being here two years automatically grants you habitual residency, it is not the only way to gain that status.

Yes. I'd report it to the Gardai instead of rounding up a mob of Hodors to hodor him black and blue.

    What's the other way?

Your mirror article says nothing about abuse of habitual residency etc.

I never claimed it did. i was asked for proof of abuse of the social welfare system. I gave it.

Why not just say "I'm sorry" and admit you made a mistake?
