Why are there so many smug comments on a thread warning parents and the community of a child predator walking around dublin with a suitcase full of toys....sick minds.
It's not sick minds, it's questioning of an article that is designed not to inform but to provoke maximum outrage - it's the print equivalent of one of those night-time phone-in radio shows (and just as badly presented - I know grammar nazism isn't cool in informal situations, but this is a newspaper; even if a rubbish one, proof-reading wouldn't kill).

The SUN article said A toy

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

It was probably just two or something. Still though, would rather see him leave as quickly as he entered.

    It might.

Misleading thread title. It contained toys. It wasn't 'full of' toys.

What other 'facts' have you mislead us on, OP?

Because the thread was posted in After Hours :p

Because your OP is sensationalist crap. Don't worry though, if your current job falls through, you will have no problem getting a job as a tabloid 'journalist'.

And whose fault is that? Me thinks he doth protest too much. Anyone wishing for a different reaction would have selected a more appropriate forum.

If highlighting this deviants picture and location/presence stops him from harming someones kid, then it will be about the best use of AH this week/month/year. IMO.

You think it will do that? How will we ever know?

The 'suitcase full of toys' nonsense reminds me of:

May i suggest a change in the thread title as it says a suitcase full.

"Notorious child abductor arrives in ireland" would do me fine.

    Or:

Notorious child abductor arrives in Ireland with toy.

    Or:

Notorious child abductor arrives in Ireland with toy.

Or better still, "Notorious Child abductor involved in bizarre fatal accident involving a Luas". I'd go for that one either.

Rather twisted arthur why do you feel the need to comment negatively on such an emotive topic,I cant help notice a lot of people tend to hold views such as yourself if threads are directed at women or children or even males being victims or potential victims. It seems to bring out the dark side of posters such as yourself. its disturbing.

Do you like kids or do you find them annoying? I know a few twisted sorts that hate children and find pregnant women disgusting too i hope your not one of those types.

And I hope you are not a dick, but that hope is in vain. You aren't a dick, you're a right dick.

Maybe because the post is sensationalist rubbish from a tabloid known for plumbing the depths!
The fact, and it is a fact, is that 90% of children who are abused are abused by someone they know (usually a family member or close family friend) who has no previous convictions for abuse.
The scaremongering nature of the story as presented in the OP is reminiscent of "Roma stealing blonde babies" crap that led to such shocking consequences last year!

This guy should be given the same treatment that Larry Murphy got when he was released or when he left and tried to come back here. Peaceful protest at any property that he tried to stay at, left Larry under no illusions that he couldn't live in this country any longer, because of the crime he was convicted for and the crimes he was suspected of having committed. I am not advocating violence but the same approach is needed here, this isn't a policing problem, we should not tolerate this guy in our society.

Pissed me off immediately reading this, may as well be importing unrehabilitated criminals.

If he has serious convictions or is threat to society, he should automatically lose his foreign travel privilages, we have enough of a problem with our own criminals never mind taking in new ones.

F**ker will get full dole and housing benefits etc, too if he decides to settle, more than what a down on their luck Irish person would get.

    Absolute bulls**t!
