Was just about to post this. Just punch the cashier, and you'll get one. 19 in stock this afternoon in Argos Nutgrove.

Bit harsh, but I suppose we've all felt like that at some stage....

    :D

If you use the Neo Surround (or whatever it is called, can't remember now) the Onkyo will force it through surround using some magical jiggery pokery.

I picked up a chromecast the last day it works fine on one TV but on my Sony bravia the screen is gone all fuzzy like if it the TV type is NTSC instead of multi or pal.
It comes up as 720p/60 which I think the problem is as I have no problem with my media player at 720/ 50??

I made several posts here about chromecast not working with the f1000 router from eircom. It seems to be a widely reported issue. I discovered that for me it wasn't working because the wifi signal wasn't strong engou. I got a wifi extender and like magic the chromecast worked despite leaving the router on default settings. It must require quite a strong signal as my laptop and phone work in he area that the chromecast refuses to work in without the extender.
Anyway, just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is having the same problem and comes across this thread.

Don't think its signal related, father had the same issue with the modem 4 feet away. In your setup, as far as the chromecast is concerned its connected to your extender so its a toally different setup. Father got a a new modem from eircom and problem solved.

Worth disabling qos settings as described here to see if it works: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=90745497&postcount=15

For Plex to work you need to have the files on a Pc and install Plex on the Pc then your phone with Plex will be able to pick up the files from the Pc and you can then cast them from your phone to the Chromecast

Does the PC needs to be on to view the files on mobile ??

It's not in argos any more as far as I know (some have it behind the counter if you know the code).

Not really a BA anyway, since €40 is the standard price.
