Did you add it to the other channels? Then mark it as a favourite!

Added to other channels and marked as a favourite but not viewable!

Make sure its the HD version of ITV Encore that you have saved, there are two SD versions including a +1 version. The one you want is on EPG number 298.I presume you followed the card trick method and that you have an old Free To Air card!

You need to have a HD Subscription to be able to watch ITV Encore, the SD version doesnt work with the card trick

How to get Channel 5 and BBC One HD on your Irish EPG and Recordable!!
Yes, discovered this little doosey a few days ago
    Here's what I used:
    My Sky HD box
    My genuine Sky sub card
A White UK FTV card [link deleted - ICDG]

    Here's how I did it:
Plugged out my Sky HD box, inserted the FTV card, plugged it back in and switched it on.
Changed channel to 105 (Channel 5) and switched off box.
Put back in my normal Sky sub card switched it on and viola Channel 5 and BBC One HD on the EPG!

Weirdly 3e and Channel 5 are both on channel number 105 and also BBC HD and BBC One HD are on 143.

All the Sky+ pause, rewind record functions work as normal, haven't tried Series link yet.

Discovered this trick 2 days ago and has worked ever since, channels seem to remain until the box is plugged out, will do a bit more testing including series link. Could be a great find for those looking to record the new BB

    Additional note:
It turns out that if you have the correct regional variations of ITV, ITV 2 etc stored in other channels (that match your FTV card) then these will also be added. I now have all the ITV's including ITV HD

Anyone know what page the blue button trick is on, or care to tell me how it works? Thanks

It doesn't have to be a FTV card. Any expired uk card will do, an expired UTV or Channel Islands card will give you the "full" epg providing you Don't have the HD pack.

If you have an expired uk card or have the HD pack you can only use the blue button trick to be able to sky+ the uk channels.
First make sure you have the trick channels you need saved in other channels.
    Unplug the sky box.
Remove the Irish card and put in the uk card.
Plug the box back in and wait for it to load the uk epg fully.
    Tune to 501 Sky News.
Using the remote, Services, Options, Favourites.
Tick all the uk channels you want using the yellow button. Don't forget to Save using the Green button.
Put the box into STANDBY and swop back to the Irish card.
Turn on the box and wait for the Irish epg to load.
When on any channel press the blue button and you will cycle through the stored favourites, press select to view the channel and you will be able to Sky+ the channel too.

    Hi.
I've have the latest sky box with the latest update and HD pack.
Do these tricks still work or have sky blocked them?

I understand that the full trick works with a non-HD subscription and a Northern Ireland region card.
The blue button trick still works perfectly for me with a London region card.

Ya Muffler is right the BBC channels show it as well. If you waitch the ITV or BBC local news it'll confirm it further for you.

Thanks. Found out the card is from London. Kinda wish they would send 1 from NI. Got channel 5, Channel 4HD, and ITV Encore HD on my favourites list now. Sky + features working on them aswell. Great find!

I haven't used the card trick for some time now but decided to do it today to see if I could get Encore. Damn thing wouldnt work at all for me. When I swapped the cards and brought the box out of standby it stuck on the Uk EPG

Cleaning the gold strip on the card usually solves this for me. Just wipe it with a tissue.

Same here . Full card trick .. Box crashes when I rewind sometimes . So had to reload the ni card recently . Took several attempts to get it to recognise Irish card ! Thought sky had done something !

I find if you tune to sky news before doing the trick it works better.

How did you figure that out !!

How did you figure that out !!

501 is common to both epg's and the the box doesn't seem to get as confused.

How would one get his hands on an NI fta card?

I wonder will the card trick still work with our old white cards when sky re-issue new cards? (scheduled for later this year)
