Some of the camera work unfortunately is very amateurish. Course looks fantastic though.

Is rte and sky the same feed? I have sky on and it looks normal enough.

Watching on RTE but I presume they are the same feed. Seeing a lot of tee shots where the camera remains on the player and we have to guess where the ball finishes.

For example, the 6th hole just a short while ago Gmac hit a drive from the tee and the commentary suggested he might be in trouble. No camera shot of the fairway. 5 min later and shows him hitting his second positioned nicely from the fairway.

Lowry bogey and he's likely gone now.

Ya that's a real pity I'm not down until tomorrow morning and was really hoping he'd still be there, Rory needs a really low day to be there on the weekend too.

Lowry looked dejected on his last hole today, just not good enough over two days, simple as

I'd say its a big downer not to make the cut at your "home" event on tour.

Yeah, missed cuts here and the Portugal masters when you've previously won both is a crock and it's not like he doesn't know the course

Absolutely, and it is also a big downer for the interest in the event, the numbers attending etc. Delighted Peter Lawrie seems to have made it. Sky guys were rooting for him, though I thought they were a little patronising at times. Gary Murphy doing a good job on Sky.

What's RTE's schedule for this? Had a look on irishopengolf.com where they appeared to show every country's schedule apart from our own and then onto rte.ie which was equally as ambitious. Was home early and couldn't find anything on RTE showing it which is shambolic for our national golf tournament.

I don't think that not having Lowry and a few more of the top players there would effect numbers that much, if I had a ticket and was able to go I still would no matter who's playing!

I know I won't have the same interest as I'm a fan of Lowrys, but I'll still watch it on tv over the weekend (and here at work on the qt!)

It was on RTE this morning and is back on again at 2.30. Nothing shambolic about it.

Lowry is out of weekend, barring an England sized miracle, he finished at +1 and cut currently -1.

McIlory grasping the "weekend off" tag with gusto. Normally Padraig grabs it.

Tap in eagle there after a 333 yard drive. Still got a chance... hopefully :o

Great to see Marco Crespi up there on the leaderboard. Earned his card with Kevin Phelan last year but looks like he could be his father.

Think they said he had been trying to qualify from Q school for about 15 years.

Has already notched up a win this year, would be great to see someone like that getting another few quid in the bank.

The 6th hole, psychologically, must be one of the hardest tees in the world.

Index 17 on the scoring averages, 8th is index 1.

I'm down tomorrow for the first time and am wondering the same.

What time are you thinking you'd need to be there at Andy?

I was aiming to arrive nice and early - between 8 and 9 sort of thing. Thats if I can get the young lad up, setting teenage sleeping records at the minute

Rory may be looking for an eagle on 18 to make the cut.
