..but they do have the advantage of meeting Liverpool, Chelsea at home after they play the previous Wednesday.

as you can see Chelsea have some really hard fixtures after the CL nights.

Utd didn't qualify for Europa League afaik

Potentially here are our fixtures after each Champions League game if the schedule has not been changed from that of the past number of years...

Weekend after the FIRST Champions League game:
    West Ham (a)

Weekend after the SECOND Champions League game:
    West Brom (h)

Weekend after the THIRD Champions League game:
    Hull (h)

Weekend after the FOURTH Champions League game:
    Chelsea (h)

Weekend after the FIFTH Champions League game:
    Stoke (h)

Weekend after the SIXTH Champions League game:
    Man Utd (a)

Chelsea at home and Man Utd away the weekend after a CL game is going to be a real stickler.

    Arsenal:
    Villa (a)
    Chelsea (a)
    Sunderland(a)
    Swansea (a)
    WBA(a)
    Newcastle(H)
    Man City:
    Chelsea (h)
    Villa (a)
    West Ham (a)
    QPR (a)
    Southampton(a)
    Leicester(a)
    Chelsea:
    City(a)
    Arsenal(h)
    Man Utd(a)
    Liverpool(a)
    Sunderland(h)

    Hull(a)

The only thing with those chelsea fixtures is that three of the other teams will be in a similar position to them having also played in the CL

    So then, Alexis or Pedro?

If Spain goes out, it will be Del Bosque's Fault.

Casillas and Alonso should not be playing this Game, specially after their Disastrous last Outing against Netherlands.

This Spain/Barca amazing amazing teams will always be remembered, but they have won everything for years now, people just grow sick of it they want change, not to mention when tika tika isnt effective it is dire to watch.

Dodged a bullet with Diego Costa it would seem. Jose is welcome to him, the new Torres.

I would not be so quick to write Costa off.

Picking the same old players regardless of form instead of picking young hungry players or players that are playing well. How Torres and Villa are in the squad is crazy.

Very harsh. Doesn't seem fit to me

Costa would never have fit into the Liverpool atttacking system we had last year we would have been stuck with another one dimensional with a temper to go with it.

A lucky escape not getting him. I really don't see him fitting in at Chelsea either.

    Hopefully a one season wonder.

That said he will have Hazard, Oscar, Fabregas, etc behind him.

I wouldn't use the World Cup as a Barometer for Costa. The Guy just came back from an Injury.

The Fact that he's playing in this Game, even though he picked up a Knock and got Subbed in their Game against Netherlands, shows you how dire Spain's Predicament is.

I guess Del Bosque prefers even an unfit Costa over Torres.

    Costa is quality.

We need to give lots of money for Sanchez. What a player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,477 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

I know there was supposedly some shady dealings alleged with his move to Cardiff but what about Mendel if he came at right price? Could hold in CM if needed fill in at CB.
    Thoughts?

Certainly would be worth paying a bit extra for him over Shaqiri or Lallana. Way Liverpool play is actually tailor made for him.

Di Maria and Sanchez. Those 2 are my Dream Signings.

If both are Available this Summer, we should be all over them.

Rakitic brought in to Barca say to me Luis Enrique is going to move away from Tiki-taka and move to a more direct system and Sanchez would suit that style prefectly. So I really don't see Barca selling Sanchez.

    Sanchez is available I believe.

I think after the WC the stock of a lot of Spanish players will fall
