Chris O'Dowd's is even worse. Really cringe-worthy listening to speak. Was he raised in the States or something?

the fact that his wife changed her name to Dawn O' Porter, annoys the hell out of me. The O being the Irish homage...

shouldnt annoy me one bit, but there yiz go.

Agree. Something so sneery about it, she should have added in 'diddlyeye' or 'craic' as well, just to show how Oirish that makes her
As for his accent, everyone in Boyle, Co Roscommon talks like that, (or is it o Boyle)?

Lads any of what you say about cyclists can be said about drivers.

Nearly got hit by a taxi driver this morning who decided to change lanes to mine without checking his mirrors (or checked them and decided fcuk the cyclist) or indicating.

People from Northern Ireland are British when they do something bad, Irish when they do something good.

I wouldn't debate that. Same goes for pedestrians as well.

Someone from every group of people that travel in A to B by whatever means is an idiot and does idiotf*ck things.

Karma and people believing in karma - it's bullshít. "Oh that person did something bad so something bad is going to happen to them because of it" - no, you moron, it isn't because of something they've done, it's just the way life is, bad stuff happens to all of us all the time (and it doesn't come in three's either).
You might as well believe fairy stories or the bible.

I believe in the power of the ovaries/dick punch. I make my own karma. :pac:

Some recruiter who has my cellphone number for some reason: So Mr. Goose, the position is in Galway, with an open salary and relocation package available. Are you interested?

    jimgoose: No.

SRWHMCNFSR, shocked pause: Oh? Why not??

    jg: Because it's in Galway.

SRWHMCNFSR: I see. What exactly is the issue?

jg: I live in Cork. My house is here, as well as my family and one or two other minor matters.

SRWHMCNFSR, somewhat flummoxed by this: Oh. Right. Er, well, OK then.

Idiots who decide to send a mass email out to every address in their contact list to tell us about their gardening service special offer/Social clubs fund raising etc but put all 200 email addresses in the "TO" field.

Use "BCC" you Fuctard, I have spent years protecting my email address from spammers and with one stupid move you have compromised it, also then of course I get 500 replies from all the other idiots who do not understand email protocol/etiquette.

That I wasn't remotely worried about the flu virus spontaneously mutating into a disease that could spread rapidly and kill millions, (as it did in the case of the "Spanish Flu") when I woke this morning and now its all I can think about! God damn you internet!

Yes, had same experience, I pointed it out to the person who sent the mail, and the fact that they had some obligations re keeping email addresses given to them, for a particular purpose, private.
I am still getting spam since it happened. Grrr.

No. He's British. If he won the 4 majors every year for the next 10 years, he'd still be British.

In the interests of honesty, I see cyclists driving through blatant red lights twenty times more often than I see drivers doing the same thing.

hate it when people have a genuine problem that they want to get feed back on so they post it on boards.ie and all they get are trolls who purposely play devils advocate and twist and turn the op's words to suit their own agenda. very antagonising and its just someone being a disagreeable cnut on purpose.

In fairness I couldn't see what your issue was either. Looks like you just hated that everyone went against what you thought they would go with.

I hate it when they twist my words around and try and claim I was saying something I wasn't. nice to see you are more than happy to follow the herd too. not exactly an original thinker are ya.

That's your experience. I, honestly, see the same amount of drivers cruising through amber or more often than not speeding up so the can within their own minds justify just making the red.

At a junction walking home yesterday, I was waiting for the lights to turn red on one row of traffic so I could cross the road, walking. After I saw it turns red, i then looked to make sure there was nothing coming, and not only was there a car still pulling from the junction but then another car kept coming. You'd have sworn the lights didn't turn red at all.

Anyway I could give lots of examples of blatant ignoring rules, as I have done all over boards, bottom line is my experience is that the majority of all road users fcuk about on the roads like there's nobody else around.

I just have to cycle like nobody knows the rules of the road.

You find an interesting thread in AHs. Read through it and then post something that turns out to be the kiss of death for the thread as no-one posts anything else.
