    It's not luck. It's circumstance.

Every aeroplane than lands in Dublin is 20 metres to the right or left of crash landing. People walk along country roads and cars fly by within a foot or two but they don't go home counting their blessings but no doubt the Indo would paint it as a near tragedy.

People who talk too loud. Just sat next to two people in my local cafe for a cup of coffee, and reading the paper, earlier today. I was surprised the glass in the window didn't shatter, one of them had such a piercing voice. I felt sorry for the second woman, tbh. It was fascinating though, her conversation. Not.

Last week it was the truck that turned over 20 yards from a pedestrian crossing when there wasn't a sinner about but that could have caused untold damage had it happened 20 minutes later and further down the road if there had been people crossing at that time.

Today it's this: Dublin Bus goes up in flames on busy street
'Witnesses say it was 'lucky' the fire didn't happen ten minutes later as local schools finished for the day'

It's also lucky that it didn't happen while there was a leaky oil lorry parked beside it in front of a fireworks factory that was having an open day for burns victims.

Maddening media hunger for gore. Its almost as if they wanted it to be worse. Reminds me of that super annoying "it could have been a child" brigade. A dog attacks another dog - "that could have been a child!". A car hits a wall - "there could have been a child there!". A shelf of beans falls in the forest onto a plant - "that could have been a child!". Yes, we get it, everything bad that happens would have been worse if a child was involved (unless it's one of the noisy sh1ts from my apt complex) we get it. It could have been a child. It wasn't. Fuuck right off fuuckers.

"There was a quiet sense of shock among the locals as they went about their business. One woman said she will not allow her child out again because of this. "You can't trust them roads anymore", she said. "When we were growing up here it was a different world, we knew the roads were sound, now they are just disappearing into sinkholes all the time. It's terrible for his family. God love them. The roads just keep vanishing. We have to keep the kids inside now".

Tragedy was narrowly averted yesterday when a car almost ploughed into a herd of sheep. The sheep which were securely penned in a field about 1/4 of a mile away were unharmed after the incident and continued grazing peacefully. The driver of the car continued on his way completely unawares that he had just had a lucky escape. An eye witness who wasn't at the scene said 'had there been children there or anything, it could have been terrible altogether'.

Locals are on high alert after an almost attempted kidnapping today in the area. A man in a white van who is not a paedophile drove through an intersection that is used in the mornings by kids crossing on their way to school. The angry mothers of two 20 year old girls who were not at the scene when the non paedophile in the white van drove through the intersection that had no children near it at the time said they will not allow their adult daughters out now in case the beast strikes again. "It's just shocking", said one mother of a 20 year old. "Our children have no childhood now. We will have to keep them inside all the time with these monsters roaming around". Other locals have been keeping a vigil at the intersection with pitchforks and pellet guns. An angry father interviewed at the scene said he will "stop at nothing" until all non-paedophiles with white vans cease tormenting their children by driving through areas that their children might have been at, at some stage in the past. "We will take the law into our own hands" he said, these monsters have to be stopped. :D

I shudder to think what would have happened if there were actually sheep in the sheep field, you know what sheep are like when they get pissed off, they would have torn the driver limb from limb, or is it goats that do that? yeah, probably them forren goats.

People saying "Happy belated birthday". It was your greeting that was late, the birthday itself was on time.

It should be "Belated happy birthday".

If only...recently paid the fee to the Residents Association, part of which was to go towards the clean up of the estate.
It's in good shape generally, in fairness. But the same little unsupervised darlings will litter the place again, especially as they will be on summer holidays shortly.

You know the type of boards users who seemingly hang around the forums, just waiting for an opportune thread to arise in which they can post and throw their weight around by making nonsense holier-than-thou, high-horse, passive aggressive responses to try and belittle or patronise the OP? You know the kind. Annoying as fcuk. It's even worse when it's mods.

Those bloody P&G Effect radio ads.

A huge corporation making claim to all kinds of shíte, from you enjoying your night out with friends because your teeth are clean because of one of their ingenious toothpastes, to going down a storm at your own birthday because your skin is immaculate due to their magical skin cream.

Thanks P&G for making our lives so great.
    Pack of smug bastards.

So can you account for your whereabouts yesterday at about 1.15pm? Did you know that 10 minutes later all the children were coming out of school? Did you even think about the children?

It was a cunningly devised plan to target an out of service bus. No passengers, no suspects. Beautiful.

People who don't know where they are going when driving who slow right down and crawl at a stupidly slow speed and nearly cause a crash.

Park up and check a map / your phone idiot!!!

People getting in my way. All the time. Everywhere. There are people everywhere. Slow walkers in front, fast walkers behind. Slow drivers doddering in front. Fast drivers driving up my hole. People queing in banks and shops and foostering with pins and cards and coins. People standing beside you at the bar so you have that awkward who-was-her-first-lets-stare-at-the-bar tender-at-the same-time. People standing in doorways and in the middle of pavements. People coughing on buses. People on the phone. People saying good morning and good evening when you are busy. Go awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! There are far too many people in this sh1thole city.
